Elon Musk, SpaceX and PayPal

If NASA faked the moon landings, does the agency have any credibility at all? Was the Space Shuttle program also a hoax? Is the International Space Station another one? Do not dismiss these hypotheses offhand. Check out our wider NASA research and make up your own mind about it all.

Oh my goodness! Yes, that sure was a mistake - I must have inadvertently overwritten your last post - while I just meant to reply to it! My bad (& brainfade...)

I've tried to retrieve your last post in the forum's database - but with no luck.

My sincere apologies, dear Panertos - please forgive me, this won't happen again. :(
Thanks, no worries!

I was speculating on how they do it.

We crowds gathering together seeing something descent on the platform:

All these videos begin very late, just before landing the rocket.

In an exceptional case it's possible to land a rocket. (in a microformat)

Doing this with a 100.000x heavier rocket seems VERY implausible to me. (stuff would break)

And then this goes up, 10 seconds and comes down.

I'm wondering if they play a magic trick

Take a look at this oen:

During the "flight" it disappears for a bit. Could it be a laser with sound effects?
Or is the whole video we see here composed? It seems so real with all the people there.

Anyhow it seems like a magic trick to me.

Anyone lives close there to take a look at one of the "landings"?

Thinking on how you could pull of the magic trick.

Could you put a balloon up on a 1km string? When you pull it back, set a burner on high fire, and then blast some explosions and cool sound effects to mimic a landing?

Check this:

"feel the heat seats"

So they pull up a huge event for this. Google it, loads of footage from "feel the heat seats"
https://www.youtube.com/results?sp=mAEB ... +seats%22

It just gives huge magic trick vibes to me. A stage. A public on a defined location. "Feel the heat seats" grandstand at Kennedy Space Center.

Tickets. A performance.

I'm though wondering, how they pull of the magic trick. Anyone?

p.s. this is cool as well

Why do they sit behind those screens? Do they control the rocket? What's this "control room"? And the crowds behind it. David bowie screaming , shouldn't they be concentrated?

The more I look at it, the dumber it gets, it's such a big show, it's so well presented, these "analysts", it just doesn't make sense from a logical point of view.

"feel the heat seats"
What a cringingly pathetic circus show. Wonder how much each of these cheering idiots paid for their grandstand tickets...

You've gotta love how Youtube's automatic "speech-transcriber" picked up this sentence uttered by the TV presenters :

It's all "panem et circenses" - or (in English) "bread and circuses": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bread_and_circuses

Phonyation indeed , very much a circus . The synchronised diving of the used rockets is beyond belief. Space travel must be so easy so why aren't we holidaying on the moon ?

First time I've watched a whole "launch" through . Entertaining but really on the level the old Space Patrol and Fireball XL5 flights ( have to be really old to recall those). I'm sure I spotted prof. Mathew Matic in front of a screen in the control room.
