Still with the religion Boston? Asking why someone is here <_<

Next you'll be asking why I'm not here ;)

Such skeptics!

Nice and soothing musical interlude, Lux! Let me humbly contribute to this sound pause (even though I'm no Elvis...)

This is my "No Trust" tune - a raw (fully improvised) one-off tune recorded some years ago while jamming in my studio with my Social Service band.

Isn't belief also about trust? Trust in one's convictions? Convictions? I hope this won't start another 'philosophical fight' ! :P

Hope is a pipe-dream, just like belief. And maybe - a mere possibility. How do you build on such shaky foundations?

A "suicide bombing" in Beirut complete with the requisite spooky numbers.

The report says one of the suicide bomb vehicles was "rigged with 110 pounds of explosives."

How would anyone know the exact weight of the explosives after it exploded?

Plenty of blue and white shirts abound. What are the mathematical odds of this?

(typing from my friend's place)

Dear all,

Just saying ... I am now on my fourth day (and second phone company home visit) of forced 'wwww isolation' - my home internet connection having inexplicably gone dead last saturday (my phone line still works). The first two technicians performed every possible test and check - yet both disconsolately left without having pinpointed the problem... Tomorrow - sometime after lunch time - a third phone company visit is scheduled (this time a team of two technicians should be turning up) - and the plan is for them to bring a tall ladder to get into my neighbors property in order to replace a switch box attached on a telephone pole. Now, my neighbor has two huge, unfriendly dogs (I call them "Jaws 1&2") - so I called him to see if he would be at home tomorrow around lunch. He said he won't - but promised to keep his beasts under lock, and was ok with the plan of using a ladder to enter his property in his absence. (Btw, an ugly rainstorm is forecast for tomorrow...)

Thing is, when sh*t happens - it seems to come in bucket loads: see, taking advantage of my extra spare time, I happily decided to do some serious housekeeping, a much delayed "autumn-cleaning" of my studio. As I swung around with my brooms and buckets, I managed to spray some water on my pc keyboard - frying it to death. So my laptop is now down at the repair shop - and bets are open as to what is going to get fixed first: my pc or my web connection? Quite a thriller, if you ask me! :P

That's funny -- that's what I call my first two ex-wives. :D

Middleton's "Marilyn Moment" (faking royal upskirts)

Unread post by Evil Edna »

In the same vein as that royal arse fakery from Provence..

Today's media carries these phony pics of The Duchess "struggling to maintain her modesty in blustery weather"...

PHWOAR!!

Purpose?

To get that silly studio-faked "upskirt" photo onto the front pages and boost Royal Sex Appeal :puke:

I don't think this warrants its own thread. Perhaps the Chatbox is a better place for this?

evolution

Observed "speciation" — papers which discuss evolution.

How many people think evolution is more hole-y than holy? Just curious about our membership here, a little. I will give you my bias; without even looking into it much I have the hunch it is a very controlled topic. Whether it's mostly true or not.
