Well, I was encouraged to see our efforts here don't go unnoticed — when I was Googling images for Boston's Bauman I found my satirical "Bombman BS Part Deux" graphic (from the Boston thread here) had been posted on another forum, Intellectual Oddities Network (just another semi truther-type set up, endorsing perp sites like Rense, Drudge etc.), but unfortunately the threads are not viewable to non-members.
So I registered just to see why my pic was there. It was posted without comment on their "Jeff Bauman (boston bombing amputee) at Bruins Game" topic by user "Stinky McFartyPants" who was then asked by "SuzieQ" if he was "following clues forum":
He just "thought it was hysterical", with no further comment.
Interesting to see how many are very aware of us.
I also noticed a clever but rather ironic signature on another ION member's posts: "The sheep haven't figured out the security blanket they cling to is made of wool."

Re: The Age of Media Fakery: Art Corner
I realize that this thread was started to feature artwork about 9/11 however there are other topics covered as well, so I come here to add something to the media fakery topic.
I happened to come across a website called "Inside the Actors Studio" where some of the acting greats are interviewed about their careers and craft in front of an audience of budding actors, directors, writers, etc. It is very interesting as you see these people "as they are" and not as they are portrayed by the paparazzi.
Anyway, today I was watching Robert Redford being interviewed and I almost choked on my dinner when, speaking about his movie "Quiz Show" (US TV game show that was rigged and created a great scandal in the 1950s), he said : "... it never dawned on us that the whole thing was rigged. It seemed beyond thinking, beyond capabilities that our entire belief sytem was being ripped off. But is was. So I felt that this was a point in history where a long, slow move of entertainment to completely take over all forms of our information channels began there."

From satirical news site, The Onion, mocking 9/11 memorial deals.
And more importantly, a big middle finger to the MSM et al.
Imagine the OUTRAGE! What about the grieving relatives and friends of Falling Man?

Progressive rock band, Dayjob Orchestra, enjoy dubbing episodes of Star Trek (and sometimes even political media) with silly nonsense. However, sometimes, they like to share some of their opinions with their fanbase. Please bear in mind that this first video was created in 2006, before 9/11 and the "truth movement" had been completely solved by most of us.

They also enjoy making fun of the media's transparent warpath propaganda. I should note that in most of their more comedic videos, they tend to have an obsession with making the characters talk about apple juice.

It seems our friends at ReThink911.org and A&E911 have put up a billboard in front of the New York Times office at NY and ... nobody at NYT sees it. Anyway - free pizzas are served tomorrow and maybe that will attract the NYT staff?

Could you provide a link to that image? Is it supposed to be real, or a joke, or merely wishful thinking on part of the ReThinkers?Heiwa wrote:It seems our friends at ReThink911.org and A&E911 have put up a billboard in front of the New York Times office
It doesn´t look right when enlarged...

Re: The Age of Media Fakery: Art Corner
Recently, NASA discovered that its new LADEE moon orbiter could be seen by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter and took this striking image of it.
It reminded me that I had tossed a 2x4 Lego piece into the air a long time ago (forward thinker that I was, I wanted to get my satellite out before outer space filled with debris) and recently asked NASA to check up on it for me. This is the incredible image the Reconnaissance Orbiter found just by rotating its body with a slight thrust correction; it seems the Lego has drifted all the way to the Moon, and experts say it finished stabilizing its orbit around April 11, 2006. Please note that the image has been geometrically corrected for more accurate mathematics, while the scale has been preserved for more accurate polymetrics.
(The Lego image is a parody of the original image from the article below, thanks to lux for the inspiration)

From the article in the above link:
The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter caught sight of NASA's LADEE moon dust probe as both spacecraft sped around the moon at nearly 3,600 mph (1,600 meters per second) on Jan. 14. LRO and LADEE were a mere 5.6 miles (9 kilometers) apart as the photo was taken.
They could have used the "Ahp" and been done with it.

Awwgh - that hurt, dear Farcevalue... Now they're even spewing their ubiquitous "11/9" or "9/11" numerical meme by juxtaposing US standard / European standard measurements...Farcevalue wrote:From the article in the above link:

Well, that's probably what inspired Hoi (a Master cartoonist and satirist - we must all admit!) to insert that hysterical little map scale at bottom right of his above NASA-spoofing graphic which goes:
1.1 cm / 0.432 inches

When I posted that I was in too much of a rush to make a thoughtful comment and hoped someone would pick up the ball.

The 1933 animation surpasses that of Fox in 2001.
