Isis could become 'world’s first truly terrorist state' and bomb UK with nuclear and chemical weapons, Theresa May warns
Home Secretary tells Tory conference we must act ‘while we still have the chance’ as she promised a clampdown on extremism in Britain
Isis could acquire nuclear and biological weapons to launch attacks on Britain, the Home Secretary warned today as she set out new measures to clamp down on extremist groups.
“If [Isis] succeed in firmly consolidating their grip on the land they occupy in Syria and Iraq, we will see the world’s first truly terrorist state established within a few hours flying time of our country,” she said.

“We will see terrorists given the space to plot attacks against us, train their men and women, and devise new methods to kill indiscriminately.”

“We will see the risk, often prophesied but thank God not yet fulfilled, that with the capability of a state behind them, the terrorists will acquire chemical, biological or even nuclear weapons to attack us.

“We must not flinch. We must not shy away from our responsibility. We must not drift towards danger and insecurity. While we still have the chance, we must act to destroy them.”
In a bid to counter the threat of home-grown terrorism, Ms May said the next Tory manifesto would include a renewed commitment to the Communications Data Bill – the so-called “snoopers’ charter”.

The measure, first championed by Ms May two years ago, would have required phone and internet companies to maintain records of people’s internet, email and mobile phone activity – though not the content of the calls or messages.
I have to admit it seems they're really giving this ISIS thing a strong push... give 'em 20 years & they might even get their own space(battle) station.

Funny you should say that, CM...

Just the other morning I woke up with this quite absurd thought - (I probably had dreamed some funky dream):

"ISIS" = "International Space Industry Swindle" :P

Sorry - that's probably just my 'warped mind' getting carried away, what with the ISS (International Space Station) and all that...

But hey, imagine that (as a future TV psyop script / scenario) : a space battle between the ISS and ISIS - nuuukes and all !

I'm just posting this article form the "Business Insider" for the record - lest anyone argue that 'nuclear' plants are cheap & taxpayer-friendly...

http://www.businessinsider.com/americas ... ted-2012-7

"America's New Nuclear Plants Cost Billions More Than Expected"

Image

"ATLANTA (AP) — America's first new nuclear plants in more than a decade are costing billions more to build and sometimes taking longer to deliver than planned, problems that could chill the industry's hopes for a jumpstart to the nation's new nuclear age.

Licensing delay charges, soaring construction expenses and installation glitches as mundane as misshapen metal bars have driven up the costs of three plants in Georgia, Tennessee and South Carolina, from hundreds of millions to as much as $2 billion, according to an Associated Press analysis of public records and regulatory filings.

Those problems, along with jangled nerves from last year's meltdown in Japan and the lure of cheap natural gas, could discourage utilities from sinking cash into new reactors, experts said. The building slowdown would be another blow to the so-called nuclear renaissance, a drive over the past decade to build 30 new reactors to meet the country's growing power needs. Industry watchers now say that only a handful will be built this decade."

(...)

"Industry leaders say the soaring costs could threaten projects that are worth the investment, and send the wrong message to the public.

"It's important to get this project done right because if every time we build a nuclear plant we go substantially over budget, ratepayers will begin to believe we can't do a nuclear project on budget," said Tim Echols, a nuclear power proponent who chairs Georgia's Public Service Commission."
And (also for the record) let me just state that I certainly do not pretend to know with any measure of detail what the deal with nuclear plants is - having spent far too little time looking into the topic. I can only encourage people more technically qualified than myself to look into the specific issue of what goes on inside these plants - be it nuclear chain reactions (as officially claimed) or anything else. To be sure, many of them almost look like carbon-copies (pun intended) of conventional coal plants - ugly cooling towers and all:

From Scientific American:

"Coal Ash Is More Radioactive than Nuclear Waste"
"Nuclear power, many people think, is inseparable from a volatile, invariably lime-green, mutant-making radioactivity." (...) "Over the past few decades, however, a series of studies has called these stereotypes into question. Among the surprising conclusions: the waste produced by coal plants is actually more radioactive than that generated by their nuclear counterparts." (...)"At issue is coal's content of uranium and thorium, both radioactive elements. They occur in such trace amounts in natural, or "whole," coal that they aren't a problem. But when coal is burned into fly ash, uranium and thorium are concentrated at up to 10 times their original levels."

US is Hoarding Nuclear Weapons for a Real 'Armageddon'

Image

Image
US officials are hoarding some of its enriched uranium components - canned subassemblies (CSAs) - just in case they need to pull a real-world recreation of scenes straight out of the movie Armageddon.
... it's kind of a shame that they couldn't get terrorists into that story.

Certainly the misfire for Diablo is mentioned on Plumbbobs wiki page... though there it is claimed to have been a 3 day delay not the 17 day delay of the 'documentary'.

The photo's of Diablo are interesting...

As much as I hate self-congratulatory antics (such as Hollywood with their odious Oscar awards) - I think we on this forum should all be very proud of our contributions to remove the fear from the minds of billions of human beings roaming this planet.

Let's keep up the good work.

For 25 Years, U.S. Special Forces Carried Miniature Nukes on Their Backs

I love how they even manage to drive home 'Iran' into the story...
“Soldiers from elite Army engineer and Special Forces units, as well as Navy SEALs and select Marines, trained to use the bombs, known as "backpack nukes," on battlefronts from Eastern Europe to Korea to Iran,"
The 'Author' is a Colin Schultz... you can read his blog here.

Highlights include...

11 Things You Didn’t Know About Canada
Canada Provides A Quarter of the World’s Nuclear Material

“Canada is the largest producer of uranium in the world, with 23% of global production in 2007.” And, “nearly 85% of Canada’s uranium production is exported.” It’s also an exporter of nuclear power technology, with Canadian-designed CANDU reactors operating in Argentina, Romania, South Korea, China, India, and Pakistan.
The Mangled Web of Scientific Misinformation
The blame is spread evenly—no one party is the source of scientific misinformation. Science communication is an interacting web, with each participant affecting the quality of those around them.
The Effect of Pseudonymity on Blogger Credibility
The research, along with a pinch of extrapolation, suggests editors, publishers and others working online professionally need to be particularly wary of who they’re putting behind a keyboard, as readers seem to not really care about the source of the information they are reading. And, as with learning bad science from movies, people quickly forget where they get a piece of information.
His last quote is on an article decorated with this photo...

A scare story currently making the rounds of “alternative media” sites hysterically claims that a recent scientific study proves “the Pacific Ocean is dying” due to the effects of the “Fukushima Disaster.” The alarmingly worded story tells us that “98% of the ocean floor is covered with dead sea creatures, up from 1%.”

OMG! Everybody panic!

(Hmmm – kind of reminds me of something that supposedly happened in the Gulf of Mexico not long ago … but I digress.)

But, wait a second! I always thought that 100% of the ocean floor was covered with dead sea creatures, just like 100% of a forest is covered with dead leaves. I mean, where else would dead sea creatures end up? So, what's the deal here?

Well, it seems there is, fortunately, a marine biologist with a cooler head (and evidently not on anybody's bribe list) who took the time to explain that this particular example of media terrorism is all bunk.

His analysis of the situation can be found here with his summary of the situation being:

I will also note the Fukushima disaster occurred in March 2011, five years after the researches begin to see changes in surface production. To reiterate the statements points, there is evidence of more life recently in California waters. The supposed “die off” is a common feature of any bloom of short-lived invertebrates. The “die off” was experienced at one location and with one species. The entire Pacific seafloor is not littered with dying organisms. I would also point out that these massive food falls of marine invertebrates are a common occurrence. For example, in 2002 a massive deposition of jellyfish was seen in the deep Arabian Sea.
So, no, the Pacific Ocean isn't dying and there is nothing out of ordinary happening with it.

That's crazy talk lux! I guarantee that you have a 100% chance of being killed by Fukishima... or at least a 100% chance of dying anyway.

The 108 tonne TNT pre-Trinity test

Image

The above clip from the "Trinity and Beyond" movie appears to be the only imagery I can find that is alleged to be from the 'test'.

In terms of photo's we only have stills from the movie & err this...

Image

It should be noted that at that time this test was the largest deliberate man made explosion in History.

The official reason for the test was to calibrate all the recording equipment & certainly it has been claimed that plentiful imagery was taken...
2.3.8. Overall Behaviour of the Explosion and Its After Effects

a. Size, Shape, Behaviour, and Path of the Ball of Fire. Three out of three Fastax cameras
(1000 frames/s) at 800 yd, and two out of two at 10000 yd, operated satisfactorily. Two Mitchell
cameras
at 10000 yd operated satisfactorily, one for 30 s and the other for the full 1000s planned.
Films have been sent out for development.

b. Radiation and Temperature of Ball of Fire. Two out of two Hilger spectrographs were in
operation; there was some uncertainty about the focusing of one of these. The films are being
developed. The Bausch & Lomb spectrograph and the movie camera with filters were on low
priority for this test and were not installed. The drum camera with photocells gave no record
because of crosstalk. The thermocouples and galvanometers appeared to function satisfactorily.

c. Behauiour of Hot Column. Three Fairchild Aero Cameras were installed. The two at 10000
yd north and south did not operate because personnel failed to push the necessary buttons.
The one at 35000 yd continued to take pictures until 9:00 a.m.

d. Mach Wave and Air Velocity. The proposed photographs of a suspended primacord were not
obtained because of failure to launch the balloons from which it was to be suspended. The poor
quality balloons burst and a low helium supply prevented additional attempts. Photographs of a
horizontal stretch of primacord appear to have been obtained. The primacord detonation was
dimmed rather than brightened by the blast.
Claims have also been made of using magnesium flash bombs for tests... but seeing as how the actual test footage only seems to have fake 'white outs' that's probably a red herring {interestingly that video does suggest that what became the Trinity footage is 'slow motion'}.

Despite all this there seems to be very little actual imagery of the 108 tonne test... my own suspicion is that what became the Trinity test footage was in fact the 108 tonne test footage slowed down & given a movie white out effect.

This imagery has, of course, been 'improved' over the years.

Thanks for that priceless Operation Crossroads 'bonus track", CM! B)

I just couldn't resist making this little gif. I swear - these old military propaganda trash reels make me laugh louder than the Bomb!

You've gotta love the 'honesty' of the speaker - as he bombastically proclaims (at 6:16 into the video) :

"Whatever the verdict! Operation Crossroads is the Motion Picture spectacle of all time!"

Telling it straight in our faces... oh my, to think we all lapped it up this farce for various decades ! :(
