hey Americans, here's to you.

Of course do not forget that the legal separation happened on the 2nd:
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable epoch in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival.
~ John Adams
What gives?
Maybe because 4+7=11? :P

Nice catch! haha

I wonder how it evolved to be the fourth. Was that the night of a ritual sacrifice that the country was founded upon in a secret society? :P

Same director as 10,000 bc (israeli tribes really founded human civilization), The Day After Tomorrow (we are all going to die) and 2012 (we are really all going to die)
Upcoming movie:

"Anonymous"

Not about present day hackers, but about the fact that Shakespeare writings were... faked . <_<

Glad you pointed out it was the 2nd of July, NOT the 4th! The second was the day it was finally decided "OK, we're DONE! We're separate!" Jefferson wrote the declaration, and for the next 2 days there was arguing about what to add or take away. Some wanted the bible to be the law, etc. On the 4th, there was a bad horsefly infestation which made everyone say "Ok! It's fine! We'll go with what we have! Lets get outa here!" So on this year's "national horsefly day", picture a buncha politicians in wigs and pony tails, swatting at giant flies! Not the dignified signing party we thought of. Thus, it is like 911!!!!
