Thanks Hoi! Yep, I do try :D

I found it difficult to get my head around, how an Australian who lived through the Whitlam years, familiar with this (and a major contributor) research, can have such a positive take on how the very people were probably fighting against managed, to over turn a democratically elected government.

Just curious (or possibly nosey),when you say you "haven't even voted in over 35 years", does that mean you've never voted, or you did vote after the sham of 11/11 1975, compelled to keep out them pesky Socialists.
Yes, Antipodean, if I remember correctly, I think I did miss that “compulsory” activity in ’75 too (busy with something more important at the time) but when I also first discovered that ignoring the subsequent ‘official letter’ of demand (to justify or pay $50 fine) made ‘em go away.

Of course I was amused because usually only an ideologue still caught in that paradigm could automatically assume (for 2 years? ) that I must be/have been an active supporter of a political party/ideology just because I tried to point out in context how the overtly radical, self-destructive Whitlam government brought about its own implosion based on observing, living and experiencing the actual, verifiable effects.

The point I thought I made clear was that regardless of whether the only safeguard/check built into Australia’s screwy parliamentary system was used rightly or wrongly to oust an elected government, and regardless of whether Whitlam’s lot were really ever set up &/or entrapped, the fact remains that it was immediately given back to the populace as required for their final say & the election result endorsing the dismissal was a national landslide.

I have never said or implied that the Australian “Liberal” party (i.e. so-called Conservatives) were ever any better or any less corrupt, on the contrary — they’re all lying politicians FFS — but in 2-party systems that’s the only bullshit “choice” we’re ever given. There’s no difference between them in Aus anyway, “Labor” & “Liberal” are both effectively “Socialist”, or whatever meaningless label you prefer. Remember it was a “Liberal” PM who said “All the way with LBJ” for sending Aussie boys to Viet Nam in ’66 (as I mentioned before here), and a “Liberal” government that confiscated and banned privately owned guns nationwide in ’97!

Clear enough now? :)

Not to take umbrage with bullshit terms anyhow, but isn't it wrong to say that any politician is a true socialist right now?

Any politician who has ever called themselves a socialist and gotten a position of influence seems to have consistently driven their country towards corporatism, i.e.; fascism.

I guess it doesn't matter, and the elections are more often the result of what people are feeling more or less anyway, but it just seems weird to call any politician a 'socialist'. Particularly, I hear the phrase "Obama's a socialist!" repeated by mindless Americans who heard it from their bar pals, who all heard it from their latest head-doctor on the radio. The radio pundits' job is to disarm people of useful language for organizing people in united causes, so when you misuse the term 'socialism' or 'socialist' - particularly when it's this freshly skinned alive on radio (I'm talking the past 20 years or so), it makes you sound like someone who listens to radio ... with your precious brain! In which case, I must insist you stop! Please!

You also promised me a barbecue night at your place - quite some time ago! :P
Yeap. I also invited you, but you declined the invitation the night before, remember? :P
I did not decline, remember!
It was a case of force majeure (my house getting invaded by a bunch of foreigners)!

This is a hilarious read but a bit worrying - how stupid do they really think we are?

But 353 is interesting in its strange history and sum with 313 yielding the 666 sign.
Remember on what number S and P 500 stopped in 2008 "crash" ?

666 :)
Bostonterrierowner, thanks for that tip. I actually didn't know that yet. Also for two consecutive days now, the leader/best performer that day on the DOW stocks was divisible by the prime factor 313. DISNEY yesterday at close at $50.08 in cents = 16 x 313, and BANK OF AMERICA was $9.39 at the close, which is = 3 x 313.

Now surely tomorrow's DOW leader is not going to have a 313 prime factor.
Do you think they are giving each other hints on where the markets are going to be in a future or just laughing at our faces ? :)

@ whatsgoingon

Check the number of your post just above mine ( in case you post before seeing it :666 :) )

I don't have a brain for maths but I am interested in these games of numbers . I think you are doing something very interesting here . There must be some reason for putting these numerical references all over our rigged system and you are most certainly onto smth.

http://trendandvalue.blogspot.com/2008/ ... cycle.html

Please take time to read this post on some dude's blog . He most probably predicted 666 bottom and he has also identified 13 year cycles in stock market moves ...

I need to correct myself here . S&P 500 bottomed at 666 points on Friday March 6th 2009 . Dow Jones bottomed at 6,547.05 points on March 9th 2009 . Crude oil stopped at a little bit above 32 dollars but its lowest closing price was 37.71 USD on December 26th 2008 .

I am sure that there is a little button somewhere that makes the "unpredictable and efficient markets" stop their highs and lows magically :)

Halo 4 released on November 6th, with this tag line:

Also, the live action series for the video game was called "Forward Unto Dawn". Obama's campaign slogan for this years presidential election was called "Forward". Don't forget that we were told in The Dark Knight movie that the dawn was indeed coming.

"The night is darkest just before the dawn. And I promise you, the dawn is coming."

Newsnight exposed as news molester

"An investigation has revealed that BBC2′s flagship current affairs programme preys on vulnerable pieces of news, promising it will treat them well before totally ruining them.

A source said: “They trawl Britain for fresh stories and then fuck them up.
...
“Then they interview this guy who claimed a bad Tory man did things to him, but at no point did they ask ‘are you absolutely sure about that?’ or ‘is this him?’.”

The source added: ”Nobody knows why they do it. Perhaps their brains are diseased.”

Another source said: “I accidentally walked in on an editorial meeting and they had this story in the middle of the table and they were doing the most idiotic, half-arsed things to it.

“I didn’t say anything because I was scared I’d end up being interviewed by Newsnight and they would turn it into a big pile of shite.”
