That shirt design would certainly help attract attention to me when I go to spread the word at a memorial for the vicsims this September 11th. I wish the site would have been online for last years memorial, but I did have a nice power point presentation and we now have the memorial site people can see it for their own eyes.

Simon, to me the "stripes" look more like folds in a white uniform. When the woman walks back inside, her outfit appears entirely white.

I have been looking at all these blue and white stripes that figure in "events" and yes, it is strange that we don't see a similar amount of yellow, green or orange stripes or even polka dots.

That said, I am partial to navy blue and white myself and over the years have owned many blue and white striped tee-shirts, sweaters and even suits. It's a colour combination that a lot of people like, one that I especially noticed when I was living in Milan and Amsterdam. Personally, it gives me a jaunty, nautical feel and I really love that colour combination during summer if I have a tan.

Frankly, are we maybe reading too much into this?

My personal opinion:

I think part of this whole enterprise is recognizing patterns and trying to discern from those, so no, recognizing that there are blue & white shirts in reports in a higher ratio to others than in everyday life would not be reading too much into it.

If we were to take that information and try to connect it something symbolic, then yes is more likely.

If I had to bet money, I would think there's some sort of reason with color theory as related to comprehension or distraction in a sleight of hand sort of way (especially when it comes to video.) Next on my list would be a rendering reason, but I am not particularly adept with newer imaging software, nor do we know what the perps really have to work with.
