According to the Guardian : "At about 9pm a man drove a car up to a parked police van full of officers. He got out of the car and fired an automatic weapon, killing one officer in the van, before shooting at others who were standing on the nearby pavement, injuring two before he was shot dead by police."

The shooting occurred during the live French TV presidential debate, and all eleven candidates were required to react and respond to the event for about thirty seconds each.
The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack.
Slain officer Xavier Jugelé was "among the officers who responded to a terrorist attack at the Bataclan concert hall on 13 November 2015" and was "in the crowd when Sting helped reopen the concert hall a year later."
As the 37-year-old Jugelé explained to People.com back in November 2016 about the Bataclan reopening :
“I’m happy to be here, glad the Bataclan is reopening. It’s symbolic. We’re here tonight as witnesses, here to defend our civic values. This concert’s to celebrate life. To say no to terrorists.”

A Leetchi fund has been setup for the victim, and has reached over 83 000 euros at the time of this posting :

Anyways was checking a few of the provided media pictures of slain police officer Xavier Jugelé, and am evidently intrigued by the sloppy contour pixels around his face/body - what do you think ?
