A few searches for that name turn up little more than a social networking site, a steam account, online gaming statistics, something about a comic book panel which I did not feel the need to click, and a bunch of articles which cite him as being a former marine.

His wife, referred to as an EMT and a first-respondent in multiple interviews, I have yet to identify. There is a myspace profile named "Crimson Rain" which, I'm just going to logically assume, is her. I need to find certificates proving either marriage or cohabitation, but the only marriage I've found thus far is of a Quentin Caldwell/Tracy Terwilliger (what a mouthful!) in Myrtle Beach, SC. Will do a better search in a few hours (guitar practice).

Part 1. Petra Anderson

[Petra] Anderson in fact sustained multiple gunshot wounds – four in total – with three to the arm, but the most serious to the head, with the bullet traveling up her nose, through her cranium and being lodged in her skull.

Her pastor, Brad Strait, wrote on his blog: "I spent all day Friday in the ICU with Petra and her family. Her injuries were severe, and her condition was critical. A bullet had entered Petra's face through her nose, and then traveled up through her brain until stopping at the back of her skull."

He went on to describe: "The doctors prior to surgery were concerned, because so much of the brain had been traversed by the bullet. Many areas of brain function were involved. They were hoping to keep her alive long enough to get her into surgery.

"The prognosis was uncertain-if she lived, Petra might struggle with speech, movement, and thinking due to considerable brain damage. With Kim, Petra's mother (who is in the final stages of terminal cancer), we simply cried, hugged, and prayed."

Remarkably doctors later managed to successfully remove the bullet from her head, and it was found that her brain miraculously had suffered minimal damage. Upon further investigation it was found that Anderson in fact had an unknown birth defect; she had a tiny vein of fluid that was found through her skull.

Doctors claim the bullet traveled through that abnormal vein, missing the vital parts of Anderson's brain, according to the New York Daily News.

Within days of the surgery Anderson has made strides in her recovery, being moved from ICU on Monday, and beginning to speak and walk again.

Anderson's mother has testified in an interview with the Sacramento Bee: "She could have lost all kinds of function [if] the bullet traversed her brain. I believe that she was not only protected by God, but that she was actually prepared for it."

An online campaign has since launched to raise funds for Anderson's medical bills, with a goal set for $250,000. As of 7p.m. Wednesday the fundraising had raised more than $183,000.

What Happened

Twenty-two-year-old Petra Anderson was shot and critically injured during the shooting at The Dark Knight Rises premiere in Aurora, CO, early last Friday, July 20, 2012. In addition to the three shotgun pellets that hit her arm, one pellet went through her nose, rode up the back of her cranium, and hit the back of her skull.

She survived. And after her neurosurgery, she appears to be on her way to a full recovery.

The fact that she is alive and recovering is beyond any value measurable by money. Even so, the financial burden her surgery and medical bills will take on her family will be very heavy.

But that's not the whole challenge. Last month Petra’s mother Kim discovered that the breast cancer she thought was just a bad memory is back and has spread to her liver, bones, and lungs. Because of complications, she’s had to decline traditional treatment and pursue promising but expensive alternative medicine.

The cost for Petra’s surgery is high by itself. On top of Kim’s cancer costs, it looks unscalable.

The injuries sustained by this girl are not suggestive that a 'full recovery' is likely, but then the quote has been written by a lay person, so may be innaccurate.

I listened to some of Lenon Honor's work yesterday before going to sleep . Guy seemed legit and had some interesting stuff to say although I was surprised that he didnt recognize 9/11 as a "non-event " but I decided to give him benefit of the doubt . Anyways , thanks for the warning Maat

Common name or not, James Holmes does have a history.

Holmes is originally from the San Diego area having resided with his mother, Arlene, 56, in the 13300 block of Sparren Avenue. He graduated from Westview High School in 2006.

AURORA, Colo. -- An Illinois man who placed 15 crosses near Columbine High School after the 1999 massacre there has returned to Colorado with 12 crosses for the victims of a theater shooting.

Greg Zanis, of Aurora, Ill., began putting up the crosses Sunday on a hill across the street from the theater in Aurora.

Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan arrived later, put his hand on a cross and said a prayer with Zanis. Hogan became emotional and embraced his wife.

The crosses are white, about 3 1/2 feet tall and made out of lumber. Zanis says he was swamped with requests to bring them.

The 15 crosses Zanis erected near Columbine included two for the killers, Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. The father of one of the victims tore those two crosses down.

Interestingly, Greg Zanis drove non-stop through the night to place crosses from Aurora IL, to Aurora CO. He talks about it here.

Zanis used to run an organization called Crosses for Losses, but it was unclear whether that was still intact Sunday. He has put up crosses in other places marked by tragedy over the past 10 years, including outside a Wisconsin hotel in 2005 where a man killed seven others at a church service.
