Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?

I don't know. I'm asking you. :)

My question is: What part of a rocket pushes against the air behind it?

Do rockets fly slower at higher altitudes than lower?

Re: Does Rocketry Work in the Vacuum?

But, it says he throws the bricks overboard. And it also says the bricks represent the atmosphere. So, if the bricks represent the atmoshere then he's throwing the atmosphere overboard?

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

Thanks for the reply lux. To play devil's advocate, couldn't someone film a youtube video and post it online or even on their own website saying: "Hey, I was an employee of United Airlines and there were no airplanes that took off from the airport on 9/11. Please share my message with the worl...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

His razor cuts in the direction that leads him to believe that there would have to be ticket agents, baggage handlers and airline staff, etc at the airport which would make the whole thing more complicated because you would have all these people saying "Hey, I was at the airport that day, thos...

Re: Miscellaneous NASA comedies

This footage, we're told, represents the view from the Huygens spacecraft as it landed on Saturn's moon Titan back in 2005. 9L471ct7YDo But, what is this footage exactly? Is it from a camera? Is it a computer animation? What is it? From what I have read about this footage it seems that is is believe...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

Thank you, BTO, very much appreciated! :) Hoi, too. Thank you for your support and I will try to do as you ask. :) And, Hoi, I would have wanted to send you a PM but the only option I could see was the email link so I used that. By the way, I never wanted or intended brianv to leave the forum. It's ...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

The above post was removed by brianv. It consists of a quote of CM's post and a smiley posted by me with no other comment and nothing whatever written by me about brianv or anyone else. I posted it again and that one was also removed. I posted several more posts explaining what had happened and thos...

Critical Mass wrote: I apparently missed the "private conversation between Brianv & T21 tag" whilst noticing the questioned post had been added to the derailment thread.

Now that I know it's a 'discussion' I will no longer 'interfere' by giving an opinion in the chatbox.

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

^ I sent an email to hoi about it. It seems I posted a smiley (and nothing else) in response to one of Critical Mass's posts and this has offended a certain mod and as a result I'm to be shot at dawn.

Re: The MOON HOAX

I give you … the story of the unsung heroes of the Apollo Program – Apollo 10! m73j38PjXR0 Funny thing about this little film – near the beginning at about 0:37 there is an odd shot where the camera starts by focusing in on what I thought was a puddle in the foreground with some twigs sticking out o...
