Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

Your failure to stay on the this thread's subject (the "ISS") is duly noted. Let's debunk you once again: Notice how fast the clock in the upper left hand corner of your animated orbits picture is moving? It looks to be going at about 1 hour per second, which means the animation is moving...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

It might also surprise you to learn that I was instrumental in this site's creation! If that's true, it is all the more tragic that you are now contributing to it's downfall with mindless trolling and idiocy. It seems you your presence here has long since outlived any semblance of usefulness. If yo...

Just in case you don't see it the "ISS" is Magenta coded.
A point of light in the sky
I ask you?

25000km/h, 150 times the speed of a bullet, 1/15 of a second. I was right!!

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

Isn't there a saying that goes something like " Condemnation before investigation is the height of ignorance "? Couldn't have put it better meself! By her own admission she has never even seen a "shooting star"! I have never said anything to the effect that "shooting stars&...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

Hello, brianv. This contraption, whatever it really is, can be seen in the sky at its appointed times. I've seen it myself a few years ago, courtesy of learning to be able to do so from THIS very site. I was thinking of doing another viewing either Sunday morning or Monday morning, due to this repr...

Re: Taking the ISS

Can we please get a moderator to weigh in on this? I say brianv is trolling and adding absolutely nothing of value to this thread. For anyone curious about how quickly the "ISS" flies across the sky, there are "ISS Flyby" videos on YouTube: ISS flyby posted by Oscar Blanco on Ap...

Taking the ISS

Photographing the International Space Station through a Telescope http://www.learnastronomyhq.com/_Media/iss_discovery_110226_med.jpeg yes, I have seen it once with my eyes (not through a camera/telescope) about a year ago. To the naked eye it looks almost as bright as Venus but too small to see any...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

So despite there being a double-decker sized Heath Robinson contraption with array of reflective mirrors, flying around up there, I will never see it unless I first visit a website? Sounds to me like this object, (how much does it weigh...on earth?) should be visible to the naked eye on a clear day....

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

I live in a rural area mostly uncontaminated by "ground light" and lots of sky, I have never seen a satellite or the space station nor anything of the sort. People keep telling me there's shit up there but I don't buy it! Staring at the sky for a few minutes at random times in random dire...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

Have you seen the ISS Space Station from the ground with your own eyes or through a lens? Maybe I should answer that : "No, I'm just not going to waste my time doing it for you because you are behaving rudely and have already shown that blah blah blah". You are still being extraordinarily...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

I wasn't around for several months so a few things might have escaped me, and like I said I have no particular interest in spaceman fantasies. Have you seen the ISS Space Station from the ground with your own eyes or through a lens? Maybe I should answer that : "No, I'm just not going to waste ...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

Yes transit finder is an app. Great! Yes, and it does something - it provides data about when and where upcoming "ISS" transits of the Sun and Moon can be seen. Just pointing out that the ISS thing has a very predictable visibility schedule. The main problem with getting a good look at th...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

Yes transit finder is an app. Great! Graphs don't mean squat!
There are many, many such pictures taken all the time by amateurs and posted in astronomy forums.
Can you be at least bothered to post some links?
