Re: Are Movies Unwatchable?

Right now I think all actors, and everyone else involved in tv/movies, are liars - and I despise lying with everything in me. Anyone else find movies unwatchable now? I will try to provide some examples of interesting movies below as I find the time. Wojna swiatów - nastepne stulecie (The War of th...

On 17 February 2010, SV Concordia encountered what the vessel's Captain called a microburst some 550 kilometres (300 nmi) southeast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in rough seas and high winds. The vessel was knocked onto its side within 15 seconds and eventually sank 20 minutes afterward. Source: http://...

Re: Costa Concordia

also thanks for the Jean-Luc Godard connection -- i managed to get my hands on that movie a few days ago but, being Godard devoted to trolling his audience as we all know, I found out that the movie was beautifully shot, and there were great images of the concordia in it, yet the movie was unwatcha...

This is how it appears to me:

and how it appears to NASA:

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

To be clear, I am not defending all the faked "onboard" ISS videos. ;) Are there people on board? How could I say. Posting a good quality, detailed picture of the ISS would involve thousands of euros/dollars/pounds of equipment which I do not have access too. I suggest you go along to your...

Re: Satellites : general discussion and musings

Having been inspired to check for the existence of satellites myself by this strange thread where no one seemed to want to just go outside and look :P, here's my basic guide to spotting the ISS (International Space Station): First, go here: http://www.heavens-above.com/countries.aspx and select your...

Re: REQUIRED: Introduce Yourself
