Re: Newtown, Connecticut School Shooting 14 dec. 2012
I think that may be part of it but I think they are trying to reinvent or rewrite grief for some deeper reason. For each dead child in real life there would be an army of raging and grieving survivors, extended families, in-laws, coworkers of the extended family and so on. Yes. I have been thinking...

Paul Simon, a native of Connecticut, sang "The Sound of Silence" at Soto's funeral as a gesture of friendship to a family friend. How did this friendship come about? Allegedly his sister-in-law Leslie ( married to Paul's only brother Eddie) is/was a nurse who was a great friend of Soto's...

I recently came across the website for an organization known as The Institute for the Study of Globalization and Covert Politics. Does anyone know anything about it? It seems to have a lot of interesting information. Here's an example: Recognizing disinformation in the media Twenty-six ways to slan...

Dear Hoi-Polloi, I think you have tons of good information in your piece, and if you are asking for feedback, here is mine from the point of view of your audience - a busy college student, intelligent but with a short attention span. 1. I prefer the STRUCTURE of 2 because you signpost it by saying &...

This is a hilarious read but a bit worrying - how stupid do they really think we are? How could you keep a straight face with such a diagram? Because you're paid to keep a straight face while showing it? Because a gun has been held to your head immediately beforehand? Because a gunman is behind the curtain with you in his gun-sight? And because selling junk is simply in your blood? ...

Anyone have recommendations for nutrition related forums/sites/links they trust ? Thanks in advance. As far as I'm concerned, Ray Peat is the man: http://raypeat.com/articles/ He doesn't blog, but has a collection of his newsletters posted at his website. Not an easy read as he delves into a lot of...

What can I say? An incredibly funny, deep and spine-tingling post. It's a direction I've been considering recently too and thanks, Scud, for putting this theory out there. If true, does heliocentricity get the prize for the greatest hoax of all time?

Re: Why are smart people fooled
The following excerpt sheds some light on how smart people can be fooled. It is the testimony of Mr. William Schaap, attorney, military and intelligence specialization, co-publisher Covert Action Quarterly, on the role of the U.S. Government in the assassination of Martin Luther King William Schaap...

We've been up against this kind of thing for a long time. Here's a quote from a nineteenth century theologian, Thomas B. Thayer indicating how long this "sacred fraud" has been going on and the perps' rationale. Any one at all familiar with the writings of the ancient Greeks or Rom...

So, let me get this clear in my own mind - when Captain Roller Skate realized that he was skating on thin ice, he got on his skates and skadoodled? That old skate!( decrepit horse/nag - according to the dictionary!)
