Re: What is Gravity?

Though I'm not convinced that air pressure would explain gravity, it got me thinking about the force of gravity currently considered as a pulling/attracting force. Dear pov, Indeed, most people refer to 'gravity' as a pulling force from somewhere below our feet (the centre of the earth?). Quite fra...

Re: What is Gravity?

sceppy, you have already postulated about the pressure multiple times. You don't need to constantly remind us that you are doing so and at the same time constantly remind us that we need to rethink everything. We know. That's what we all write about. It's not our job to reformat your rambling posts...

Re: What is Gravity?

The only way to start on all this stuff, is to start at the very beginning and working up from that. If Newton can decide an apple falling is down to gravity, you have to immediately question it, when you also consider his laws, which also relates to space, of which he would have had no clue. To my...

Re: MARS & the Curiosity Rover - NASA's latest hoax

NASA launches its Maven rocket "beginning a 10-month journey to Mars" on Nov 18th: Tz7Iue_J0YA At about 0:56 the narrator says it's now going at over 1,000 mph (it sure doesn't look it). Then at 1:25 he says, "... we are now passed through the sound barrier. It is now supersonic.&quo...

Re: Fakery in Orbit: THE I$$

This video has a few flaws and I'd like to know how the stuff is possible. I'll explain: yqdRFNIhlmI As we can see from 1:14 to 1:17, the actor is doing press ups..and ok, nothing untoward about that, it looks easy because it's in a supposed weightless environment so by gripping his hands through th...

Re: The Moon Hoax

What we see as the moon, is a bright glowing image. We can all accept this, yet with this being the case, we can all logically conclude that... if anyone was stood on that, they would be at best, lit up like a beacon and blinded by the light and at worst, they would be burned to a crisp. The picture...

Re: The Moon Hoax

They supposedly put a retro reflector on the moon, as we are told, so I'd like to know this. On myth busters, we see Adam and Jamie go to an observatory to watch them fire a LASER at this reflector and the operators say, it's like finding a needle in a haystack or something to that effect. Anyway, l...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

I've never heard of the Teed, Hoi, but I will look it up later. Naturally in our sandwich layers of solids and gases, we basically know that the lightest gases will naturally rise to the top. We also know that gases change according to temperature, so basically everything at the top of the dome is u...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

Many of us naturally think of a vacuum as an environment that "sucks"...as in, we know that any chamber or even a Thermos flask, when punctured will give off a quick hiss, as in "sucking" the air back in. The truth is, it's air pressure that's pushing in, which I'm sure most of y...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

Thank you sceppy. Your magnanimity speaks volumes about the worth of your thinking. A "snow globe" being the opposing force between the earth and sky is enough for me. At least it's logical. I apologize for being forceful. I do have a somewhat strange role here that doesn't always come na...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

I'd particularly like sceppy to develop the intriguing concept of gravity being nothing else but the effect of atmospheric (air) pressure. It is a theory that I feel isn't just hot air - pardon the pun - and could have some substance. However, this substance - or the little we have of it at this ti...

Re: THE "CHATBOX"

Brain-limited knowledge? Duh. I guess call me thick but what kind of knowledge are you expecting to get from this concept besides brain knowledge. Heel-based? To me the most complex things have been always been explained relatively simply. Gravity has been explained as two (or more) things attracte...
