There is no "specific" terror threat to the London 2012 Olympics, Defence Secretary Philip Hammond has said.

He said an elaborate military exercise carried out in London last week was to prepare for any threats that might arise in a dangerous world.

And he told the BBC's Andrew Marr show he now wanted the military to "fade into the background".

From 7 July 2005 (7/7 London terror) to 27 July 2012 (London 2012 opening ceremony) it is 2577 days. Or 7 years, 20 days, if you prefer.

On 6 July 2005, the final selection was announced at the 117th IOC Session in Singapore. Moscow was the first city to be eliminated, followed by New York and Madrid. The final two cities left in contention were London and Paris.

At the end of the fourth round of voting, London won the right to host the 2012 Games with 54 votes, defeating Paris's 50. The celebrations in London were short-lived, being overshadowed by terrorist attacks on London's transport system less than 24 hours after the announcement.

So we seemingly have a connection between the Olympics and recent "Islamic" terror, noting that both New York (9/11) and Madrid (11-M) were eliminated in the 2012 selection process, in addition to London's own "Al-qaeda" event (7/7) following one day after being chosen as the 2012 host.

At the end of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing there was the customary closing ceremony, where the current host (Beijing) handed over to the next host (London). On the UK broadcast of the ceremony the "exploding London bus" was edited out but thanks to YouTube we can all enjoy this wonderful reminder of 7/7.

Note how crucial the "iconic" red London bus is to the promotion of the 2012 Olympics. Ask yourself if they are more concerned with promoting the damn red bus or promoting the city of London?!

18 February 1996: Bomb blast destroys London bus

Three people are feared dead and eight have been hurt after a bomb exploded on a double decker bus in the heart of London's West End.

The front of the bus was destroyed by the force of the blast on the Aldwych near the Strand.

The bus had travelled over Waterloo Bridge along Lancaster Place and was passing a Ministry of Defence building and turning onto Aldwych when the bomb exploded.

The explosion comes just nine days after the IRA ended its ceasefire with a bombing in the Docklands area of London, which killed two people.

Not that it's worth thinking too much about but I'll point out that the 2005 London bus bomb occurred in Tavistock Square and the 1996 London bus bomb occurred in Aldwych just before the left turn towards Tavistock Street. Don't the mafia always leave a calling card?

Of course, Aldwych has a prior experience of being bombed (or should that be "bombed"):

On 30 June 1944, Aldwych WC2 suffered one of the deadliest V1 flying bomb attacks on London of the war. A fortnight after the first V1's had hit the capital, the menacing drone of yet another ‘Doodlebug’ was heard over Aldwych. The semicircular street between Kingsway, BBC Bush House, the Air Ministry building (Adastral House) and the Waldorf Hotel was crowded with workers returning from their lunch hour or queuing at the local Post Office.

At 2.07pm the V1 glided silently in over the Thames, diving down to explode on the road between the Air Ministry and the north east wing of Bush House, home to the BBC External Services. The detonation caused carnage. The steel-framed Air Ministry absorbed much of the explosion, shattering windows but leaving the buildings astride the road largely intact. The blast wave scythed down the street. 46 people were killed and at least 200 others suffered serious injuries.

It may help to remember that "ad" was made by and for Chinese government controlled Now TV to prime Chinese soccer fans for viewing the European football competition. Which reveals more about how the Chinese view Europeans — or more accurately how the Chinese regime wants their population to view them/us and therefore made to assure that official 'approval'.

In other words, the old 'us against them' propaganda message is a mirrored variation of America vs "rogue" Iran — so it's China vs "barbarian" 'democracies', to ensure Chinese soccer fans don't get too enamored of apparent European life-styles/freedoms they may see by reminding them of western democracies' real history in imperialistic wars

The tune is one you will find yourself humming, and you find yourself really hoping that a blazing overhead kick will end the violent war that somehow broke out in Europe when we weren’t looking.

There is no appearance from any superstar names from the game, which is refreshing. We will see enough Nike and Pepsi commercials in the build-up to the EUROs to know exactly who we are being told to look out for.

Football as war: bizarre Chinese TV commercial for Euro 2012 May 21st, 2012 by Ian Fraser

Glad to see our Chinese friends are getting such a balanced view of Europe. This three and half minute commercial for the UEFA Euro 2012 official Chinese broadcaster Now TV has it all: images of the Blitz; Stalingrad; Warsaw; the siege of Berlin, an earthquake in the middle of the pitch. And for good measure the backing track’s the The Russian Revolution sung by the Red Army Choir, with a bit of Chopin’s Fantaisie-Impromptu thrown in towards the end…

This has got me wondering. Is this really how the Chinese see the Europeans? (But then given all the recent infighting over the future of the euro, maybe the analogy of football as war isn’t too wide of the mark).

Here’s what Irish website joe.ie has to say about the Now TV advert:-

But the first sign we should be worried was the sign of the Eiffel Tower, The Coliseum and Big Ben all in flames. After that it calms down and we have lots of cartoon football, expertly rendered.

But soon we have planes dropping bombs on the field and soldiers firing guns at players. In the end the footballers survive and the war is ended.

Is the ad about the triumph of sport over war? Are they referencing George Orwell’s old maxim that ‘serious sport is war, minus the shooting’? Did they just look at Europe and think World War II?

We have no idea but we are both intrigued and appalled by this ad.

The quote comes from an essay, “The Sporting Spirit“, that George Orwell (aka Eric Arthur Blair) wrote for Tribune in December 1945. The full quote is as follows:

“Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all rules and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence: in other words it is war minus the shooting.”

The essay also includes the lines:-

“There are quite enough real causes of trouble already, and we need not add to them by encouraging young men to kick each other on the shins amid the roars of infuriated spectators.

"I am always amazed when I hear people saying that sport creates goodwill between the nations”

Apparently, the video maker intended for each video to show different perspectives from the same material to explore what the nature of the false flag may be, specifically in these next three videos. Part 4 explores the possibility of the false flag being a UFO event or being blamed on aliens, of which I highly doubt. Part 5 explores the possibility of them releasing a virus of some kind, which to me is the least likely scenario. Part 6 explores the connection to 9/11 and the false flag possibly being blamed on Iran or some other country linked with it which I believe is the most likely scenario, assuming the perps have anything planned at all. Nowhere in any of these videos is it even implied that he believes planes hit the towers. Before making a quick assumption about the video maker, you should actually go through his channel and you'll see that he actually believes that no planes were used in the 9/11 attacks and uses footage from the September Clues documentary to back it up. I'm quite certain that he knows all about this website and media fakery, but that's not what this video series is about regardless.

Sounds like a build-up for military warfare - not for a sports event!

U.K. adds 3,500 military personnel to London Olympics security detail

(CBS/AP) LONDON - Britain put an extra 3,500 military personnel on standby Wednesday to protect venues at the London Olympics, after a private contractor said it may not be able to provide enough security guards on time.

The contractor, G4S, had been enlisted to provide the bulk of the 13,200 private security guards across 100 venues, but said in a statement that it may not hit its target because of problems recruiting and training staff.

The YouTube video below seems to also be a clue to London being the next location for a major false flag. Its a live action short film to promote the video game 'Ghost Recon Future Soldier' about a spec ops team whose mission was to secure a nuclear device. You'll notice the British official in the movie say that "a city has already been chosen". By the end of the video the weapon comes up missing, shows a view of London and fades to black with "to be continued".

Whilst clearly the video has lots of CGI in it, the short London sequence from 18m59sec is odd...I can't decide if it's recyled stock footage, based upon the pre-1973 white-on-black plates on the obsolete red buses and/or the M-registration year for 1995 on the taxi turning up the street, or if it's all recently generated from old grabs...the pedestrians are a bit jerky/gappy crossing the road, and it feels wrong.
