No problem, Heiwa! I'll be there! I think we should charter a small boat to cross the short distance from Porto Santo Stefano to Giglio island. I can arrange that (but let's split the expenses, ok?) Nonho? Will you join us?

As Nonho has pointed out, the owners (Carnival Corp. An American Giant Corp.) named the ship with a wish in mind for the continuing harmony,unity and peace between European nations. How Sweet. That was 2006 and all seemed sweet and dandy at the time in Europe.

Then, just as the present engineered financial crash was taking off this little ship too had a crash on the 22 Nov 2008 into a dockside (we are told).

"November 2008 collision with dockside

On 22 November 2008, the Costa Concordia suffered damage to her bow when high winds over the Sicilian city of Palermo pushed the ship alongside its dock. There were no injuries and repairs started soon after."

Now in 2012, As Europe slides ever downwards and seems to be about to Capsize, this little ship foreshadows these events.

The Captain 52(7) seemingly had 11 years experience.
Everything about this incident doesn't seem right.

This is follow up to what I posted above earlier in the thread.

Here is the 'deck plan' for the Concordia with 11 (quelle surprise!!) decks all named after European states...

There are more decks down below for abt 500 cabins of the 1000 Philipinos and Indonesians and Malays crew cleaning and catering the ship.

I am absolutely on board with the idea (except I don't think we need to rent a boat as the Toremar ferry from porto santo stefano will do just fine), but I might have problems as to when (it should probably be immediately or else at the end of the month for me). Let's get in touch via PM, fix us a skype chat or somethin' :)

Quite amazing that economist issue, Terrence. And this whole story does have few british elements to it. Sure everything can be a coincidence but it is getting harder and harder not to see the metaphor of the sunken ship, agonizing along the beautiful italian shores, as some sort of convoluted, deliberate way of ritualizing or jinxing or threaten or celebrate the fall of the EU. Naturally for any purpose of this sort, the no-victims scenario is probably a requirement, for all the reasons we know.

I have seen that picture of the full lit ship only today for the first time, on some websites. All other night pictures of the boat did not have this characteristic. I don't know what it means, but I don't think it appeared "alwayz" like this. In any case as I said, I just cannot imagine how they could keep the public from figuring out that the ship isn't there. If we do manage to get to Giglio island maybe we'll have a clearer answer to this. Maybe we will find out that the access to the island is in fact barred to anyone except journalists, families, and residents. Which could work for the fakery, assuming all 1,400 resident of the island have been paid off or silenced, which seems rather fantastic.

(p.s. we are told that the Concordia shipwreck can be seen during the Milano-Roma Alitalia flights: http://www.vanityfair.it/news/italia/20 ... o-alitalia --the picture is quite poor, though.)

My brother is home on leave from his ship, he said..

"On a ship that size there should have been at least 5 - 8 officers on duty in the wheel house, possibly as many as 15 with the further assorted watches, lookouts, comms and navigation. To take the ship that close to shore the on-board navigation computers had to be by-passed and switched to manual. Radar, Sonar, GPS. The warning panels would have lit up like a christmas tree and alarms would have rang ship-wide. There would have been warnings too from outside agencies. The owners, the coast guard". Very weird he says!

In the case of the Titanic, we are told, the captain was trying to break the speed record and ignored multiple warnings.

Here we are to believe that the captain wanted to wave to someone on the island. "Yoo-hoo"

The captain's PRIMARY DUTY is to the passengers.

"This is not happening!" - alleged "Amateur video"

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcrBboNWVZ8

Try and loop this video between 0:32 and 0:34. Are those people composited into that scenery?

Now, don't get me wrong. I do currently believe that the Costa Concordia ship is there - lying in front of the Giglio port. Yet, I do have trouble reconciling a few available images. For instance, what's the deal with the front deck's shape/dimensions - as compared here?

Film Socialisme (2010), is a film directed by Jean-Luc Godard.

According to the synopsis on the film's official website, the film is composed of three movements:

The first movement, Des choses comme ça ("Such things") is set on a cruise ship, featuring multi-lingual conversations among a medley collection of passengers. Characters include an aging war criminal, a former United Nations official and a Russian detective.

[...]

The cruise ship is the Costa Concordia, sailing around the Mediterranean Sea.

pdgalles: we are still waiting for you to write a proper introduction, here: http://cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?f= ... &start=720 please provide one when you find the time, thanks!
also thanks for the Jean-Luc Godard connection -- i managed to get my hands on that movie a few days ago but, being Godard devoted to trolling his audience as we all know, I found out that the movie was beautifully shot, and there were great images of the concordia in it, yet the movie was unwatchable and incomprehensible for me. I skipped through it without understanding anything. :)

relatively to the debate over the "complete fakery" of the event, it can be of some use to know that the corriere.it website has been having a live stream from the Giglio island for quite some time now. It usually runs with few interruptions during the day, and is turned off at night. As I write the images are dark, it is probably about to be turned off -- but it is usually available in the daytime local time. It can be found here:
http://videochat.corriere.it/index_H2401.shtml?c=H24_1#
Note that occasionally this live feed covers other unrelated events. But it is mostly dedicated to showing uncommented images of the ship lying there, being serviced by teams of rescue workers and boats.

*

about the drama of the ship that every day risks to sink down into the sea and be lost forever, here is a diagram, also from corriere it, that provides the different depths of the sea in that point:

...i *request* an unCopted FOIA-request for the dateOfbirth of the wikipedia site for Isola del Giglio, furthermore question the existance of that island with *real citizens. I figured that the Toremar (Toscana Regionale Marittima) shipping company, "ferrying" to Isola del Giglio does contract-exist only since 2+ years ; [main idea of this fakeOP: to let the world look older as it is, since IdG is officially linked to the so called "Iron Age" ; it is furthermore stated, that the "owner" of the island is- [more likely an artificial dump as Sealand or Republic of Rose Island, Kansai International Airport *1994, Kobe Airport in 2006, Palm Jumeirah (*island-AI-born June 2001)|-Dubai etc...)., more-likely history-"booked" in 69s++ *then|after|that "linking" it to -a Roman Catholic abbey in Rome, now officially managed by the Order of Cistercians, also running the Cistercian Preparatory School, a Catholic school for boys in Irving, Texas ; too bizarre ... (IdG was also allegedly "mentioned" by poet Rutilius Claudius Namatianus, but there is no further reference to that source or any ongoing "industry" or companies. *Also, what is the name of the major of IdG and why isn't there any statement of *that major yet in any press updates ? http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&gl=u ... .1.6-1l5l0 )

[note : Under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea treaty (UNCLOS), artificial islands are not considered harbor works (Article 11) and are under the jurisdiction of the nearest coastal state if within 200 nautical miles (370 km) (370 km) (Article 56) ..any "state" may construct artificial islands (Article 87)..."], i also call them 'truman-Islands' (also for truman-newz as in Tokyo|NukeOPFakery+weatherOps, alleged Irene plus rain in nyc etc... ;

where are the 'residents' ? :

Isola del giglio is not part of the army. It is a town. Hence you should look for "mayor", not "major", when you do a google search. Better yet, use the italian word, "Sindaco". You're bound to find something.
For the rest, I invite you warmly to stop posting such barely comprehensible nonsense on this board. The surreal claim that Giglio island is artificial, with the never-dying hint of jesuit conspiracy to spice up the nil, seems to me specifically meant to preventively damage any assessment of the situation on the island we might make with our own eyes. Not too smooth, though.

* And now, a bit of poetry to lighten the mood.

Quinci e quindi i delfini a schiere a schiere
fanno la scorta al bel legnetto adorno;
e le ninfe del mar pronte e leggiere
corron danzando e festeggiando intorno.
Vede l’Umbrone ove sboccando ei père
e l’isola del Giglio a mezzogiorno;
e in dirupata e ruinosa sede
monte Argentaro in mezzo a l’onde vede.

There and then flights and flights of dolphins
escort the beautiful adorned keel
and the nymphs in the sea quick and nimble
run dancing and cheering all around.
He sees the [river] Umbrone where flowing comes to die
and the Island of Giglio to the south;
and in a steep, ruined spot he sees
the Argentaro mountain among the waves.

fair enuff.

Maybe i will back up from that city-mayor status [or it's some acting mayor|sindaco, but i will leave behind that claim], however on the so called "sindaco", i found some Sergio Ortelli, but to the media he responded so far only via email. Don't they send tv teams onto that island, to big up the story ? "...risponde così a proposito di un’e-mail inviata..." ; http://www3.lastampa.it/cronache/sezion ... tp/438312/ plus, NO italian wikipedia entry on him either [yet] , described with "one mandato"; http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isola_del_Giglio ; other historical people linked to that island include Enrico Alberto d'Albertis (1846-1932), navigatore, scrittore ... and some handicapped dude in some wheel chair called Luca Coscioni, assembling somehow a character between C.Reeves/Stephen Hawking ; UPDATE: after some web translation it appears that Coscioni is dead since 2006 and "his body was cremated near the island of Giglio, a place that he loved so much" ;
