I'm wondering about this story which has precipitated the "lockdown" of yet another town.

There seems to be an issue with her left hand only having 4 fingers in one photo that seems to be rapidly disappearing or being cropped. This version from the Daily Mail is the only non-cropped one I've seen. Does her hand look altered to anyone else? And why is no hand showing in the NYDailyNews photo?

The Liela Fowler murder
Re: The Liela Fowler murder
My thoughts on this ...
According to the US Census Bureau there are many thousands of murders every year and many hundreds of under-18 murder victims so it's hard to see why any one of them would be singled out for media attention, especially as far away as the UK.
Is it because it was a stabbing, I wonder? But, look at the weapons used in the Census Bureau statistics: guns, blunt instruments, poison, fists, etc. There's no way to murder a child without it being an horrific event regardless of the weapon, no?
I think the media just likes to use the word "lockdown" in reference to alleged violence every chance they get. According to the Daily Mail article linked above, "lockdown" means ...
But, seriously, "lockdown" seems to be the buzzword of the decade. Movies, TV shows, sporting events (if you can call pro wrestling a sporting event), computer games and general media blather use the term whenever possible just to keep it out there in the minds of the public.

So, anytime one's doors are locked one is "on lockdown" I guess.Residents in Calveras County have been ordered to lock their doors as deputies search for the suspected killer ...

Re: The Liela Fowler murder
Well, now they say it was her 12 year old brother all along. And still no other photos with her hands in them.

Re: The Liela Fowler murder
Does her neck also seem to be changing size/length/girth?
I think that first picture at the start of the topic really describes Liela as a girl who is into cartoons.
No, literally, she looks like a character in a cartoon! Or constructed from a Frankensteinian photoshop montage to be more precise.
