I'm trying to help by translating the clues video to portuguese and spread them by torrent and fileshare sites.

Since the video has text all over the screen I'll try to use aegisub to write over simon's signs in it. I'm used to work with universal subtitles site interface but I'll give it a try on this one. I think a good way, without budget, is to use well known file share sites to spread stuff. I already found some on my country, so I'll use those. Do you agree with this? And Simon, will you permit me this? I can pass the video first so you see if it's ok for you.

Dear jamesensor,

Yesterday, I received this message on my personal e-mail :

Hi Simon,

Is there a version of september clues with portuguese subtitles availabe ? If no, can i translate with a help of some friends?
To offer September clues to all portuguese native speakers.

Thanks for all your work !

Regards,

R.M.
(full name removed by myself for privacy reasons)

Is this you? If it isn't, I presently have 2 potential Portuguese translators of September Clues - which is great!

So before I give the go ahead to you or to R.M. - would you like to contact R.M. and see if he could help you out (perhaps the two of you could agree to split the translation job - as it is a prettty time-consuming task?). If so, I will send you both the Excel file with the full English text to translate.

Please send me a reply on my personal e-mail : simonshack@libero.it

Thanks ! A Portuguese version of SC would be a fabulous addition indeed! :)

Sitting behind a desk and typing away about these issues to a bunch of anonymous figures is exactly what they us to do, because you're not actually active with the info in the real world, it’s all talk.

Teaching one person at a time to think for himself is the only route to long-term 'success' in any meaningful way - and this forum is a great vehicle for doing so. To some extent we are writing the initial history of the exposure of media fakery to the general public. I really do hope you don't go away!

The YouTube comment below exemplifies what I've been talking about
TV has turned Americans into retards. I enjoy watching a ball game now and then or a movie, but otherwise I don't watch TV anymore and I notice the difference in myself. About a month ago we had a hurricane here in New York and we lost power for about a week. It was like a mass awakening, the first day the power, TV and Internet were down, people in my neighborhood all came out of their houses and started talking to eachother. I met neighbors that have lived there for years for the 1st time.

I had the same kind of experience when the power went out in 2003, people actually engaged in real human activity, the last thing the perps want us doing.

SEPTEMBER CLUES - Arabic subtitles

Our member "ElSushi" (aka Pierre-Juan ) who recently made the French subtitles of September Clues, has now published the ARABIC version of September Clues - a splendid translation effort by his Iraqi friend Waleed. The two of them met (and currently reside) in Japan.

Let me loudly rejoice for this amazing cornerstone of the September Clues research! Will the Arabic world catch on? Let's hope it will!

I really think this fabulous effort deserves a thread of this own on Cluesforum. Here it is: http://www.cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1171

Yes ! we did it  , and the least I can say is that it has been an almost daily struggle with the subtitling software (looked like that soft had some sort of allergy to Arabic typing.uh), but Waleed and I are both proud of what has been accomplished with this Arabic version and now look forward to spreading the word out among the world muslim community.

DEFINITIVE PROOF OF YOUTUBE VIEWCOUNTS MANIPULATION !!!

I have kept track, day by day, with the viewcounts of the Arabic version of September Clues A (on our forum member's Elsushi Youtube channel). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlASk2fe ... plpp_video

Yesterday, it had gathered 108 views.

Tonight, as I went back to check it, it only had 9 views.

The video had 7 comments yesterday - and they are all still there (so it is definitely the very same upload).

Well, folks - now you know it: Youtube manipulates the viewcounts of any 'socially inconvenient' videos.

And the "likes" have been reduced!! Seven comments for 9 video views is a dead give-away.

Did you also notice on your account that "friends" has disappeared!

Well at least they didn't delete the video altogether - but I honestly wonder if they don't block traffic to it as well by having an inconvenient Time Out Error once in a while.

They also program certain videos with stutter/freeze buffering, and some videos actually complete buffering and it still freezes midstream. Sometimes you can drag the progress button and it resumes, but this way the view is never registered.

Sorry about that, dear members, YouTube hasn't done that since I had to re-upload several Arabic parts after our dear translator Waleed found out that lots of mistakes and mis-translations were to be found in the first uploaded videos. Therefore, the fact that the number of views went back to zero is just normal...

I promise there won't be any other re-upload after that...the link of the playlist is still the same : http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCBE5C17EBDCDB98D&feature=edit_ok

Waleed just wanted to make sure that the Arab readers would understand the whole thing...and he's now pushing it to several local medias in Iraq...so fingers crossed dear members... B)

???

Well, I have never been able to re-upload a video on Youtube - and keep the same comments underneath ???

I guess this must be a brand new option which YT has implemented recently.

Anyways, I have witnessed viewcount fiddling on my YT and Google videos (my September Clues Addendum has, for instance, stayed at "0" views for months after I uploaded it...).

Thanks for clarifying this, Elsushi - even though I still wonder how this could be possible: so what if one re-uploads an entirely different video...will the comments for the previous video be retained???

There's no doubt that YouTube intentionally lowers the view count numbers on a regular basis... <_<
