The Many Things That Make You Go Hmm . . .

Unread post by Libero »

With fair warning, I am only an observer. I don't have much technical knowledge to contribute to the specialists in the forum in their various fields. These are simply the items or patterns that I have noticed that may make one question the validity of an event.

One item I use to look into my investigations is the Social Security Death Index. For those that I personally know that are definitely deceased, the SSDI is 100% accurate. For some psy-ops that I have doubts about, interestingly, the victims from them from time to time also appear in this database. That being said, I always wonder about the ones that don't exist there.

Social Security Death Index:

http://search.ancestry.com/search/db.aspx?dbid=3693

With the above being said, these are the things that I have observed that tend to make me wonder if an event may be real or not.

1. Is it insinuated that a government entity (In my case, the CIA, FBI... it could vary by country) could be involved conspiratorially in some fashion? The alternative media and sometimes even mainstream love to exploit this.

2. Was a movie, but more a likely television special event or even a documentary created in the telling and validation of the story after it occurred sometime at a later date?

3. Follow the attorney involved (case or attorney via wikipedia.org.) If the event wasn't real, how can the ensuing trial be real? What other cases has the attorney been affiliated with? Be prepared, especially for this one, and always keep an open mind. You may be floored by your findings.

I have spent a lot of time looking into the results and could probably start 20 or more topics based on my findings. For those who care, they will look into it on their own.

Lets start with the Boston Strangler... or the Sam Sheppard case (many shows or movies that 'The Fugitive' was based on.) Have fun, my fellow CF members. Please be prepared to accept the information and process the info on your own that you may find.

When something like ancestry.com gets bought out for over USD 1 billion you do have to wonder whether TPTB are getting their back-stories in better shape for things to come,

David McGowan devotes a section of his excellent book Programmed To Kill - The Politics of Serial Murder to the "Boston Strangler" case which begins:
Albert Henry DeSalvo, the purported Boston Strangler, ranks as one of the most infamous of all the serial killers, despite the inconvenient fact that, in the four decades since the notorious murders were committed, no one has been able to produce a shred of evidence indicating that DeSalvo ever killed anyone. The task of manufacturing a case against DeSalvo was largely led by a legendary attorney by the name of F. Lee Bailey, who received a considerable amount of help from a cast of characters whose surnames should be familiar to any serious student of U.S. politics—names like McNamara, Donovan, Mellon, Moynihan and Bryan. ...
I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the "serial killer" scam. Many infamous cases are covered in detail with excellent research by McGowan.

Another book I recommend which is devoted to the single case of "The Son of Sam" murders is The Ultimate Evil by Maury Terry, one of many references that McGowan sites in his book.

Lux,

It's great that you mentioned the work of Dave McGowan as his 'Wagging the MoonDoggie' and 'Laurel Canyon' series are both such fantastic reads. I have personally not read the book you have mentioned, but it is so strange how he hasn't completely jumped on board the 'media fakery' bandwagon. He gives a slight mention to fake video regarding 9/11 in his final 'Act IV part 6' of his 9/11 series but doesn't appear to be wholeheartedly convinced. His 'Laurel Canyon' series sparked me to do a bit of investigation into the 'Charles Manson' case a few months back, however. It struck me as very odd that Manson could be so talented and well respected, and then somehow be lead down such a dark path.

http://davesweb.cnchost.com/

(Sorry, in advance if any of the the below appears disjointed in parts. Like much in Dave's 'Laurel Canyon' series, there are so many coincidences, that it defies belief in itself.)

Vincent Bugliosi (more on him later), of course was the prosecuting attorney for the Manson case. The late 60's early 70's must have been the hardest of times of the 'famous rich kid' time period. Abigail Folger (Folger's coffee fame) was one of the reported victims of the Manson gang, but she, along with Sharon Tate (Roman Polanski's wife at the time) are not present in the Social Security Death Index. Fast forward a few years, and we then have the Patty Hearst incident where we can reintroduce F. Lee Bailey as council in one of his rare defeats (no worries about Hearst though..she would later be pardoned by President Bill Clinton.) Roman Polanski would later in the 70's be caught up in another type of media scandal which would cause him to make the decision to flee the U.S.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patty_hearst
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Polanski

So that brings us to one the most recent of F. Lee Baileys more famous cases -- that as a member of 'The Dream Team' in the O.J. Simpson case. A person I know who I am attempting to reach regarding media fakery recently asked my opinion about this one. Both victims are in the SSDI afterall and there isn't much evidence to go on other than that which was presented at the trial. The following are interesting things that I have noted that occurred after the trial.

To begin, the OJ Simpson trial was one of the breakout events that launched CourtTV (later becoming TruTV). I'll give another small mention to one of the other trials -- that of the Menendez brothers where neither of the 'victim' parents are listed in the SSDI either.

Here's a cute short quote from the Wikipedia on TruTV:

"The channel has been criticized for allegedly faking their reality shows, including Storage Hunters, Southern Fried Stings, Hardcore Pawn, & Operation Repo, which used paid actors working from scripts"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Court_tv

Let's examine what became of some of the major players in the OJ Simpson trial.

Kato Kaelin (witness... lived in OJ's guesthouse) -- "Brian Jerard "Kato" Kaelin (born March 9, 1959)[2] is an American radio and television personality who gained fame as a witness during the 1994–95 murder trial of O. J. Simpson."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kato_Kaelin

Pablo Fenjves (hostile witness... neighbor of Simpson) -- "He also ghostwrote If I Did It[2], an account of the O. J. Simpson murder case"
"Ironically, years before sitting down to work on that book, Fenjves testified against Simpson in the criminal trial, establishing a time-line through the dog’s “plaintive wail.”[4]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pablo_Fenjves

Pablo Fenjves' ghostwritten book "If I Did It" -- "If I Did It is a book by O. J. Simpson, in which he puts forth a hypothetical description of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman." "In August 2007, a Florida bankruptcy court awarded the rights to the book to the Goldman family to partially satisfy the civil judgment. The title of the book was changed to If I Did It: Confessions of the Killer, and published by Beaufort Books."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/If_i_did_it

Bob Kardashian (friend and attorney) -- Father of the uber-famous Kardashian kids.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Kardashian

Greta Van Susteren (legal analyst) -- "Greta Van Susteren (born June 11, 1954) is an American commentator and television personality on the Fox News Channel, where she hosts On the Record w/ Greta Van Susteren." "During coverage of the O. J. Simpson murder trial, she appeared regularly on CNN as a legal analyst.[6] This led to her stint as co-host of CNN's Burden of Proof and The Point."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greta_Van_Susteren

Harvey Levin (legal analyst) -- "Harvey Robert Levin (born September 2, 1950)[1][2] is an American television producer, lawyer, legal analyst and a celebrity reporter. He is the founder of celebrity gossip website TMZ.com." "He worked in various legal roles in the entertainment industry. He was a legal reporter on KCBS-TV in Los Angeles, where he reported on the O.J. Simpson murder trial."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvey_Levin

Mark Fuhrman (former detective) -- "Mark Fuhrman (born February 5, 1952), former detective of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), is known for his part in the investigation of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman and his subsequent felony conviction for perjury. He has subsequently written books and hosted talk radio." "After the trial, Fuhrman retired to Sandpoint, Idaho. During 1997, he wrote a book about the Simpson case, called Murder in Brentwood (1997, ISBN 0895264218). It includes a foreword by Vincent Bugliosi, the prosecutor of the Charles Manson case. "

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Fuhrman

Phillip Vannatter (lead investigator) -- "Philip Vannatter, the Los Angeles police detective who served as a lead investigator in the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman..." "In 1977, Vannatter conducted the investigation that led to the arrest of film director Roman Polanski on charges he drugged and had unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/2 ... 23576.html

Marcia Clark (prosecutor) -- "Marcia Rachel Clark is an American prosecutor, author, and television correspondent who gained fame as the head prosecutor in the O.J. Simpson murder case." "With Teresa Carpenter, she authored a book, Without a Doubt, about the case, in a deal reported to be worth $4.2 million.[4] Clark was on leave from her job following Simpson's acquittal in 1995, and officially resigned in 1997, before the release of her book."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcia_Clark

Also, I thought I would mention that there were documentaries/shows created regarding the Manson and Hearst cases. I watched the movie 'Network' from the late 70's for the first time the other day, and part of the story alluded to the Hearst case. It got me wondering when I saw that if it was a similar situation to the more modern HBO show 'Newsroom.'

"Diana Christensen (Faye Dunaway) heads the network's programming department; seeking just one hit show, she cuts a deal with a band of radical terrorists (a parody of the Symbionese Liberation Army called the "Ecumenical Liberation Army") for a new docudrama series called the Mao-Tse Tung Hour for the upcoming fall season. When Beale's ratings seem to have topped out, Christensen approaches Schumacher and offers to help him "develop" the news show."

I decided to change the title to this topic in event others had noticed any other patterns that may point to fakery and wished to add on. I myself had a couple more to add:

This is an obvious one pointed out by so many members -- the prominence of 9's, 11's or 33's in the story.

Also, more often than not, there seems to be at least one major player with a military background (broad, yes, but noticable...)

Anything really fishy explained-away as involving an "ex-CIA" or "ex-DIA" or "ex-NSA" or anything like that. I don't think you can be "ex-" any of those. Once you are in, you are stuck. You may try to live a civilian life, but you must take oaths when you join that - essentially - forfeit your life for the secrets.

^ Yes, the ex-___(fill in the blank)___ "whistle-blower" is always highly suspect in my book too.

Another thing I look for is music! If music (especially the soul-stirring, glorious, awe-inspiring variety) is playing in the background of any media and/or Hollywood type story allegedly depicting "a true story" then my bullshit meter starts twitching.

Along with the "follow the attorney" theme, following the photographer is well noted through example from many forum members as well. That's one thing that I have regularly been checking when the information is provided.

I noted a couple of interesting items regarding the Manson case last night that made me go 'hmm...' when I pulled up the Wikipedia on Spahn Ranch, the supposed location of the gangs 'hideout.'

Just prior to their becoming notorious, there happened to be a film crew at their hideout that was noting their story which would eventually become an Academy Award nominated documentary.

"In late 1969, Robert Hendrickson began filming the Manson Family at the ranch for his documentary film Manson."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spahn_Ranch
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hen ... irector%29

I followed up on the Laurence Merrick link from the Hendrickson one above. Merrick was evidently a partner in the production of the documentary. I stumbled across this information:

"Sharon Tate, one of the victims in the Manson murders, was a former student at Merrick's Academy of Dramatic Arts."

If you have time, you might be interested in pursuing the Manson stuff in Dave MacGowan's awesome Laurel Canyon series.

There is a Polish part of Manson Story apart from Roman Polanski . Polanski's friend Frykowski was one of the victims(?) and what is even more interesting his son was found dead in Karolina Wajda's house , stabbed in a back some 30 years later . Official report stated it was a suicide :)
Karolina Wajda is Andrzej Wajda's daughter and the latter is a very known director known for "Promised Land" , "Katyn" and even awarded OSCAR in 2000 for his lifetime achievements .
Maja/Agnieszka Frykowska a grandaughter of a guy alleged to be killed by Manson and a daughter of the one suicided is a Polish version of Kim Kardashian/Paris Hilton , famous for being famous.

Story doesn't end even now because Maja/Agnieszka is allegedly entitled to her part of royalties for Manson's book that he is finishing or finished already .We all know here that Charles Manson doesn't exist . SO WTF ? :)

I touched this subject on CF before ...

Oops, I'm thinking of another guy sorry, but... http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Frykowski

Wasn't "Frykowski" the surname of Gilbert Shelton's Fat Freddy, from the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers?

Nearly - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Fabulo ... k_Brothers

"In The Idiots Abroad, Freddy visits the Polish village of Gfatsk, where everybody happens to look like him. Nevertheless, he is driven away by an angry mob as soon as they hear the name Freekowtski."

I had a glossy compilation of about 6 of the originals which I loaned to a "friend" which was never returned. Bastard.

This is a video of Agnieszka Frykowska aka "Frytka" talking about what she would do with the millions from Manson's royalties awarded to her in line with California law . Her grampa Wojciech Frykowski was Roman Polanski's close friend and allegedly met his fate in LA in 1968 ...

Here's a photo taken by Pulitzer prize winning photographer, Paul Vathis. In fact, it was the one that won him his prize.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Vathis

Image

Additionally in his career, he would be fortunate enough to cover events such as Wilt Chamberlain's 100 point game: (He evidently was enjoying a night out with his son and happened to be the only one from the press there.)

"The game was not televised, and no video footage of the game exists; there are only audio recordings of the game's fourth quarter. The NBA was not yet a major sports league and struggled to compete against college basketball. The attendance at this game was over half of capacity, and there were no members of the New York press at the game."

Image

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilt_Chamb ... point_game

The Three Mile Island incident:

Image

and lastly, the televised suicide of Pennsylvania Treasurer, R. Budd Dwyer. (3rd place collection for Spot News Stories from World Press included here)

http://www.archive.worldpressphoto.org/ ... %3Adat6475

The youtube video showing the event is available for those interested in seeing it that haven't yet with a fair warning that it is very graphic in nature (I did not include the link in this post in event that I am wrong on my assumption that it is not real.)

The fact that the video is so graphic in nature is actually what made me wonder about this event since youtube appears to be so strict on the content that one can upload. The various videos of the event are of very poor quality, however such that not many of the fine details can be carefully scrutinized. There is one exception to this -- a video that is very good quality that does not show the actual shooting itself.

full link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UT8lW73jexU

Aside from this 'lucky' photographer being able to catch these various events throughout his career , there were a few things about the video and pictures taken that make me question it.

In the actual video of the shooting, the gun appears to sound prior to the barrel entering his mouth.
I looked several times, but did not actually see him pull the trigger.
The shot did not have the sound that I would expect of a .357 magnum.
I saw no evidence of external blood spatter, despite his using such a large caliber weapon.
What would cause his hair to be so fluffed up in the picture of him on the ground?
How did the photographer obtain such a clear photo of the white shirt hanging in the background? Even in the video provided above, it would appear that there should at least be a small cluster of microphones impeding the view.
Did the technology exist in 1987 for a camera to get shots off so fast as those shown in the above portfolio?
The reaction of the onlookers after the shooting and of this person holding his hand toward the camera for some reason just don't seem real to me.
Could he still be holding the gun after the shooting and falling?

No fewer than 3 songs were written from various artists about this event, likely the most famous of them being the Filter Song "Hey Man, Nice Shot" For this post, I will include the video and dedicate at least the title of the song to the photographer.
