On Youtube, a huge amount of videos about the alleged Logan gang rape can be found. Almost EVERYONE of those videos (from a host of different YT accounts) simply do not start??? The video cursor actually moves along but there is no audio - and the initial image of the video stays freezed.

Such as this one (just one example): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnHuSV7KTA0
This might be caused when an specific amount of people report a youtube clip. Youtube might automatically drop the download rate then for this video, or the video gets banned until youtube workers investigated the case.

At least the video example you gave us is blocked by now at.

Definitely the Lara Logan story is a massive BS spin campaign - to now make the egyptian "pro-democracy"/on the good-side protesters, appear like the babaric monsters that they have been consistently portrayed as in US media/entertainment for the past 50 years in order to manipulate the public's perception of how "great" US foreign policy is in regards to Israel vs rest of Middle East??

What's everyone else's take on why this fake story?

Dear Guerrero,

I think the Lara Logan fakery is for the benefit of the Western viewers only.
Now that the fake putsch-in reality a simple transition of power to the second line-is over, there may remain demonstrators who bought into the "democratic revolution" seriously, and wish to carry it further.
The message to the West is, the military is sending home the still protesting people, maybe using force, but do not worry: those who are on the streets now are not the "heroic democratic revolutionnaries" just the dregs of society. Now that "freedom and democracy" won, order must be restored, and if this needs harsh actions from the military, this rabble deserves it.
That is my take on the fake story.

I agree completely. As soon as the media describes the protesters as bad guys, the sheeple of America go back to sleep, and wait for the next media-fabricated 'news' story to entertain them. That's why all protest HAS to remain nonviolent - as soon as it becomes violent, all the power of the state is brought to bear, shutting down the protest.

Did anyone catch the story about Ray McGovern getting violently confronted, assaulted and arrested at a Hillary Clinton speech about how great these protests in ME for democracy are and how horrific it is that the existing ME govts are trying to quelch the peaceful protest by reacting with violence. McGovern calls it Kafkaesque...which it is considering right in front of creepy hillary's face, a guy peacefully protesting the US govt's foreign policy of violence by standing up, turning his back to the b#$%#, wearing a t-shirt saying "Veterans for Peace" and then he's assaulted by plain clothes security/police....it's freakin' too ironic.... check out the clip here:

WTF with hillary carrying on as if nothing was going on. is she a f'in robot?

This Logan story is so unbelievable...

I see efforts to hijack the whole thing, to keep at bay crowds that maybe are proving themselves more resilient than expected.

The main ingredient of the hijacking is certainly this BS propaganda that wants Egypt to be falling into anarchy, so that a foreign "intervention" ( = invasion) becomes inevitable...

Just recently at this very big rally the crying clown Wael Ghonim was barred from speaking, apparently (or so he says), as the crowd only wanted to hear from the "muslim brothers" people that they actually respected.
This obviously creating a parallel between crowds that do not respect crying clowns, and crowds that gang-rape innocent blondies on a mission for truth... all to be fed to western masses, to get them ready to support yet another invasion of a muslim country, and get finally ready for the coming of the Messiah on 2012...

Maybe - just maybe - people over there are slightly smarter than us, and are getting aware of the foreign efforts to hijack, steer and manipulate what is happening. May them prevail, if it is so.

Great post noncapihuto. I mentioned in an earlier post that the majority of "them" (arabs/middle easterners) -- even those not highly "educated" formally - come across way more educated in world politics/geography/history than even some of the most "educated" americanos. they've understand and been aware of governmental corruption for much longer than the average americano plus they have a much deeper, longer, richer history than us "americanos".... Dear nonhocapito,

I would guess that everything except Iran and Syria is a side-show. Since the trouble started in Iran already, there no need remains to de-stabilize the maybe not pro-israeli, but definitely pro-west countries like Bahrain. But if you show on Media the example of Egypt and Bahraini brave protesters, who wave the flag while the bullets are hailing, then the shia Iranians, who have a bigger Martyr-complex then everybody else, may brave bullets just to show the world that they do have as much cojones as the faked Egypt and Bahreini martyrs.

In reality, un-armed crowd under fire has two agenda. One starts with "Hail Mary, full of grace", the second is "I want to be somewhere else right fucking now sharpish" You know in war movies when the hero goes in the battle and around him his best friends in the platoon are shot? In real time this is the moment when you realise that you very well can be the hero's best friend, so you do not fuck around.

I thought Yemen important, but the more I think on it, Yemen is a sideshow, too. The whole Yemen is built on ghat/khat. That means the afternoons are out of option, because everybody is flying-as far as I heard, the un-written agreement between the tribes, the insurgents and the military, that there is no offensives or any fighting on the afternoons-lest it destroys the flash of ghat for the men :)
That leaves the morning, but what about the ghat hangover? So we should analyse the Yemeni videos carefully. If they were taken on the afternoon and shows not only females: than it is automatically fake, the men are on their daily high at home. If the videos were taken on the mornings, we should watch for physical signs of ghat hangover on the protesters faces, bodies, and movements.
But, economically, revolution in Yemen makes no sense: what if the revolution fucks up the ghat supply? Maybe that is the aim: the sobered male population of Yemen wakes up, no ghat, and see their country with clean eyes...All hell will brake loose!

I don't profess to know what's going on but something isn't right! I was watching some of the live coverage from Egypt and found it most peculiar!

Bahrain - http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... 4139.story

Type "bahrain protest" into google and the predictive text offers "bahrain protests 2011", "bahrain protests feb", "bahrain protests february".

Libya - http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld ... 5367.story

Type "libya protest" into google, predictive text offers "libya protests", "libya protests 2011"......

Dear brianv,

I quote from the Yemen article you linked, some quotes right out of Yemeni "dictator" Saleh's mouth:
"Dialogue is the best way. Not sabotage. Not blocking the roads," he told tribal, military and civil leaders in Sanaa.
That reads: what the fuck? Let everybody sit down chewing a mouthful of ghat, and when the material hits in and everybody feels like talking, let us put the world to rights while the flash is on. After that, let us smoke a few waterpipes and drink coffe or tea.
On Saturday he blamed a "foreign agenda" and a "conspiracy against Yemen, its security and stability" for the string of protests against poverty, unemployment and corruption which have gained momentum since the uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt.
Which means regular chewing of ghat does not destroy your mental capabilities, and when it hits your blood and brain, probably sharpens your senses and thinking. Mr. Saleh, I told exactly what you claim here in septembeclues in my first comment on the Egypt revolution topic. I understand how you must feel.
Saleh, a U.S. ally battling a resurgent al Qaeda wing based in Yemen ... Saleh is facing ... an al Qaeda branch that has launched attacks at home and abroad
Yes, this is what makes Yemen an important country in the "Crescent of Muslim Democracy"-plan. Well, Mr. Saleh, that is what you get when you let IDF Mistaravim roaming your country free and play along with the "War on Terror" farce. I bet those "Al-Qaeda" attacked mostly on the afternoons when every real Yemeni is chewing ghat, and that surprisingly "Al-Qaeda" activity always ceased during Shabbath. :D
Saleh...has held power for 32 years in an Arabian Peninsula state that faces soaring unemployment, dwindling oil and water reserves
Unemployment? So the boys who have no income to buy ghat, are raising hell on the streets? One look at their faces tells you all you need to know, Mr. Saleh. Start a state subsidization of the ghat, perhaps a strict ghat prize policiy should be applied, fuck saving the oil reserves. The water supply's 90% is already used on the stuff, innit? And when the protest starts, your army should hand out the little packages of the plant. In ten minutes the mood will be like if it is Christmas day, all love and peace, flowers in the gunbarrels, and soldiers and protesters hugging. Believe me! :D

A little information on ghat/khat, whatever, and the Yemeni connection:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khat
http://www.time.com/time/world/article/ ... 85,00.html
http://www.biopsychiatry.com/khat.html

All in all, Crescent of Islamic Democracy-plan. This is it.

What is underlying all these news stories? How should we read it? What is our confirmation-bias telling us? Is it The End of US Crony-ism in the region? The End of Totalitarian Monarchic Rule in the region? The Rise of Islamic-"ist" Militancy? The New Democratic Middle East?

I find it strange that the "protests" should be yearstamped already in google! Who would type in "yemen protests 2011" while it's still happening? Is it 2011 in Yemen or Libya? There's hidden hands at work imo!

Dear brianv,

it is very hard to say as the things are in motion, we have to speculate on the go. So far I would say, in my humble opinion, lots of things are happening under the big umbrella, aimed at different outcomes, but the main aim is de-stabilizing the Middle East, selling it as "people of Islam want liberal, secular democracy and not Islam in the Middle East" to the Western TV viewers, plus incite revolutions in the Middle East using Media and Social Media. There are un-certain variables, like the counter-intelligence activities of the targeted countries: if we can figure out what is happening, so can they. Of course, just as the war on terror, the main aim is to destroy Islam as they destroyed Christianity. Let me give you my take: it is up for discussion.

1. In Yemen, because of the "Al-Qaeda" activity, I would say an islamist state as a new evil for the Axis. An islamist government with "Al-Qaeda" (IDF Mistaravim) connections, so the Americans will have a free hand to blast women and children herding camels or men chilling out with ghat in the tents, with UAV drone-strikes, whenever they feel the urge to do so. And if there is an "Al-Qaeda"-connected regime, that would mean the Mossad has in its hand the ghat production and supply, a HUGE business in Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia and Kenya. wikipedia says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khat (Just as Afghanistan was invaded to control Heroin production, and this winter they took out the old organisation of the supply route: I bet they are busily building the new. On those large planes carrying one kidnapped "terrorist" to torture in secret bases, there is place enough to hide a few kilos of smack, I bet.)

2. In Iran, the main enemy, a little blood-letting, making the government shoot on its people. Probably as a prelude of UN sanctioned invasion to liberate the poor oppressed people, just like Saddam's Iraq was liberated. (The invasion is a wild, wild guess by me, I admit).

3. In Syria, neighbour of Israel, to let the Baathist regime fall, and a democratic pro-West (therefore pro-israeli) government take over. The recent news, when Iranian warships went to Syria through the Suez Canal in Egypt, which made Israel outraged, suggests the Iranian and Syrian Counter-Intelligence working together to counter the provocations, and the Iranians sent the ships for information gathering on the real situation in Egypt on site.

4. The remaining countries are sideshows, somewhere the fakery has to continue and fake/altered images have to be taken, so the Media image saturation, now that Egypt is over, can continue towards the targeted countries. Maybe, but I am not sure, the Americans are stupid enough to de-stabilize the pro-US Monarchies to export democracy. I am not sure, because that means they are so, so fucking stupid that I flat out refuse that they can be that really, really stupid. Maybe they are: in this world of ours, only death and human stupidity is sure.

Update: dear brianv, you are right.
5. Libya. Gaddhafi did everything he could to suck up to the West, stopped aiding terrorists, renounced WMDs, and so on. But since Ronald Reagan bombed Tripoli, and the Lockerbie case, they wanted to take him out. I would guess this is a USA operation mostly. Yeah, liberal democracy will be born there, with a few hundread dead. As Gaddhafi was building kind of Socialism, that will be the only up-lifting moment during the "Crescent of Arabic Democracy"-plan. Of course, later the country will be robbed blind, and all social achievements of Gaddhafi-if he did any such thing, I have not a clue-will be destroyed. Libya will remain fucked up thoroughly.

CAIRO – Libyan forces fired machine-guns at thousands of mourners marching in a funeral for anti-government protesters in the eastern city of Benghazi Sunday, a day after commandos and foreign mercenaries loyal to longtime leader Moammar Gadhafi attacked demonstrators with assault rifles and other heavy weapons. A doctor at one Benghazi hospital where many of the casualties are being taken said 20 people were killed Sunday. U.S.-based Human Rights Watch ['scuse me while I convulse] said 173 people died
