Rescued Chilean miner Mario Sepulveda at a news conference with his family.

Could the family be any more overjoyed?

The 18th miner's name in this list seems to be VERY well back-stopped.
Names of the 33 trapped Chile miners

17. Claudio Acuna Cortes, 34, football fan who plans to greet his wife wearing his team's shirt.

18. Franklin Lobos Ramirez, 53, avid football player who received greetings from Spain's David Villa.

19. Osman Araya Araya, 30, experienced a nervous collapse underground.

Wiki has an entry for a Chilean football (soccer) player with the same name, and included information about his mining 'career'.
Franklin Erasmo Lobos Ram?rez (born June 2, 1957 in Copiap?) is a retired Chilean footballer. Lobos debuted in 1980 for Regional Atacama, and retired in 1995, playing for the same club he started his career with. He was nicknamed El Mortero M?gico (The Magic Mortar).[1] He eventually became a miner, and was one of the miners trapped underground for two months in the 2010 Copiap? mining accident. On October 13, 2010, Lobos was the 27th of 33 miners to be rescued.

The Guinness World Records was asked by the rescue team for all the miners, including Lobos, to be honored with the record.[11]

He has two daughters.[1]

And this playing card, which most viewers would assume is decades old.

Marvellous news about the Chilean miners. After weeks of anguish, stress and painstaking toil in dank and cramped conditions, we managed to find a sticker card of Franklin Lobos, the former footballer who was the 27th of the 33 miners to be lifted to the surface earlier this week. Lobos, who spent nine seasons in the Chilean first division with four different clubs, scored from over 100 free-kicks during his playing career and was nicknamed the "Magic Mortar". After retiring he worked for a taxi firm then became a truck driver at the mine. One of his former clubs, Cobresal, may now rename their stadium after him.

I am not sure what you are getting at here FBenario? this is fallacy of the excluded middle - or maybe you mean something else?

By claiming 100% that this miner is 'backstopped', and therefore a totally fabricated personage, you negate the other possibilities and swings and roundabouts which may be sitting around this oddly shaped table (fable).

In the midst of dire eCONomic news bombardment fired at us everyday, this sweet sweet story of rescue and resilience sure smells distractionary and a parade of some sort - c.f. the moon missions in the midst of Corporate Americas colonisation of Asia
I will not say this is 100% fake, but the 5% chance it could be real is mauled to death by the blanket coverage it has received on lying mind controlling noise channels.

miner 18 could be a real person with a real history but belongs to a secretive group and will be rewarded handsomely for his efforts as could the rest of these fellows. These efforts may dip back many years.

Another scenario is this. As we have no idea really of what is 'live' footage etc. being fed to us ,this could also be a test of the latest tech/sims involving invented people with super fine back stopping stories and a test to test for water tightness.

There are 'real' characters involved in hoaxes, Ghouliani etx , separate from invented victims.

This case doesn't feel like its just actors.

The parading of the numbers, the symbols, the heroes, is very NASA, very masonic.

On April 11th, 9 miners were rescued from a mine in Peru:

http://edition.cnn.com/2012/04/11/world ... ef=edition
The ordeal stirred memories of a 2010 Chilean mine collapse in which 33 men were trapped underground for 69 days. All those miners were rescued, pulled one by one from hundreds of meters beneath the Earth's surface with a specially designed capsule.

Lest we forget - 33 is a classic Freemasonry signature - often used to signal their involvment
