Neil Armstrong passed away.

If NASA faked the moon landings, does the agency have any credibility at all? Was the Space Shuttle program also a hoax? Is the International Space Station another one? Do not dismiss these hypotheses offhand. Check out our wider NASA research and make up your own mind about it all.

I just love that Ashes to Ashes tune - and Bowie's "Major Tom" space character. So much so that I made a song, way back in 1994 or thereabouts - which I called "Major Tom". It's just one of those tunes that got stuck in my hard disk - and never got published... The theme of these lyrics revolved around a wild fantasy I had back then - of an asstronot (Major Tom) who saw the world explode from his spacecraft - thus remaining the only survivor of the human race... So here it is:

http://www.septclues.com/SIMON%20SHACK% ... OM%202.mp3
MAJOR TOM - (lyrics and music by Simon Shack)
intro:
Several thousand light years ago,
Major Tom was affected by a vicious cosmic disease
That goes by the name of "nostalgia"
Sadly, planet Earth is no more on the map

Major Tom! Major Tom!
Oh Mother Earth I miss you badly
Major Tom - Your planet's gone!
I'm spinning round in circles madly now
Major Tom to ground control
There's no reply at all
Major Tom to ground control
There's no reply at all

Major Tom! Major Tom!
Looking for an island in outer space now
Major Tom! You must get on!
Mercy for the lone survivor of the human race
Major Tom to ground control
There's no reply at all
Major Tom to ground control
There's no reply at all
Woah - that's some nostalgia allright! That tune sounds pretty cheesy to me today - yet it's kinda funny considering the "space conquests" we have done right here on this forum of ours! :P

I just updated http://cluesforum.info/viewtopic.php?f= ... 8#p2374378 . This Hotel California is a funny place. The Eagles think people danced (??) there to forget whatever. But in the original, non Eagles version, it was just drinking all the way, my wine, etc. Janis Joplin, an unlucky visitor to the Hotel used other means to pass away. :(

Armstrong touches his face a lot in this interview. He also says the Earth appears "small and remote" from the Moon when it should appear quite large (much larger than the Moon appears when viewed from Earth). And, I think he's saying that he couldn't see any stars from the Moon?

It seems Neil got famous driving X15s at high speed as described by useful NASA idiots already 1962   :

http://www.sierrafoot.org/x-15/adventur ... ht_51.html

"From engine burnout to mid-reentry radio contact was marginal to nonexistent. NASA-1, the ground station, was inaudible from the X-15 and relays from the B-52 were weak. Reaction controls worked well under direction from the MH-96, but the excellent attitude control apparently sent more hydrogen peroxide through the thrusters than expected. As the X-15 descended through about 160,000 feet a warning light came on indicating low hydrogen peroxide supply for the #1 APU. Armstrong initiated transfer of residual hydrogen peroxide from the engine turbo pump supply, and the warning light extinguished at about 115,000 feet. At about 90,000 feet smoke poured into the cockpit from above the instrument panel as atmospheric reentry heating burned off paint.
Neil Armstrong did additional stability and control checks as the X-15 re-entered the atmosphere, testing roll maneuvers at high angles of attack (AOA). He flew about 15 to 16 degrees AOA as forces built to 4 g's. The MH-96 has a load limiting function that should trip in the range of 4 to 4 1/2 g's, commanding a reduction in pitch attitude to avoid excessive g forces."

In Armstrong's own words from a smoke filled cockpit...blah, blah, lies, lies, fucking moon lies … already April 20, 1962 + Nasa!!
NASA was a joke already 1962 - just 50 years ago.

There is no business like the Moon business I know, much better than any show biz or whatever. People like stupid drama. So GWB could bomb Afg and Iraq and kill millions people .. sad! :(

Yes, it’s a very interesting interview, including the eye-accessing cues, but Armstrong’s extraordinary statement that he couldn’t see stars on the Moon or even from cislunar space (as implied by "deep black") is unbelievable!

Well, that contradicts Gene Cernan who later claimed he could see them from the Moon. It’s one thing to say that the glare prevented photographing stars, which would only have some validity if they didn’t have the right cameras to do it (and why would they not since they supposedly took a busload of other useless crap in that magical tin can!) — but his suggesting that stars couldn't be seen when out in space is utterly ridiculous.

Now, regarding his eye-accessing cues in constantly looking down to his right, I have been trying to find some verification of whether he was right or left handed in order to accurately interpret that, but the results are contradictory and inconclusive.

For instance, despite numerous sites claiming Armstrong and Aldrin both as left-handed (with one Wiki answer saying Armstrong’s a right-hander), the only photographs that give any indication are an old black & white image from his college teaching days (with nothing to confirm it hasn’t been flipped):-

Eye-Accessing Cues

In the field of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) they use the phenomenon of eye-accessing cues to help recognize patterns of thinking. By the direction of where the person’s eyes are looking, you can determine whether they are using vision, sound or kinesthetic (feeling) to trigger their thinking.

NLP-thought-access

If this represents a person facing you then when they look up and to the left (your upper right) they’ll be accessing a visual memory. Up and to the right (again, your upper left) means that they’re visually constructing (imagining) something. To your right, they’re remembering a sound, to your left, they’re creating a sound. Down right, the person is accessing a bodily feeling or emotion. Down left (your down right), they are accessing inner dialog (talking to themselves).

If, for example, you were asking your child where they got the candybar, and they look to their ‘constructing’ side, then you can be sure they’re fabricating the story.
Keep in mind that this is reversed for left-dominant people (left handers). So before you can use this, be aware of which of their sides is the dominant one.

So, he's either accessing inner dialogue (talking to himself) if he's a lefty, or accessing a feeling or emotion if he's a righty. But one thing he did not do (in that footage at least) was look up to his left or right — so he was not accessing a visual memory or imagining.

My impression is he wasn't remembering any real visuals (duh) or making it up on the fly, but reciting carefully rehearsed responses

In his final interview in May he spoke for almost an hour to the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia:
...Armstrong even had time to respond to the conspiracy theorists' favourite question: Was the moon landing faked?
"People love conspiracy theories," he replied. "I mean, they are very attractive. But it was never a concern to me because I know one day, somebody is going to go fly back up there and pick up that camera I left!”

Excellent Work maat on disseminating the real/human Neil Armstrong from the iconic/fabricated Neil Armstrong.

This is fascinating. Neil Armstrong (nice macho name) has passed away.

Nearly 50 years ago to the day, he was born as an astonaut. On the 17th September 1962, he was chosen along with 8 other men to be the brave men who would venture first to the moon.

Check this out. 50 years ago, on the 17th September 1962, the day Neil officially became an astronaut, Neil's parents were flown in the appear on MSM show 'I've got a secret'.

America we know how you operate. Sow the seed. Let it sleep in the public consciousness and gestate slowly before blooming alongside a huge hoax when it arrives.

After the identity is revealed etc. the show's host Garry Moore asks Neil's Mom the following incredible question:

"Now, how would you feel, Mrs. Armstrong, if it turned out - of course nobody knows - but if it turns out that your son is the first man to land on the moon? What, how do, how would you feel?"

**Edit** I just noticed he says...How do,(how would)...you feel?

Simple brainwashing statement thrown in the middle of course nobody knows.

Instruction to public mind - the future is not set up by us years in advance; it is open and full of promise and according to the American dream anybody can participate in this glorious future and all you have to do is shut up and work hard.

It would have been nice to see Neil on this show years later. 'I've got a secret'. Is it that you were involved in the biggest hoax of the 20th century Neil and that you are a fake?

Just watched the Patrick Moore interview and as already stated, it is very interesting viewing!

I particularly like the photo shown at 2:36 once again showing the curvature of the moon's horizon within throwing distance of the LEM! ;) But later, NA says that they could never really see the TRUE horizon due to hills etc in the foreground. Shame the pictorial record doesn't corroborate this claim!

EDIT:
Maat - the photographs of Armstrong you have posted are correctly orientated in my opinion as the breast pocket of his jacket is on the left. :)

Ah, thanks Smoking! I wasn't sure if men's jacket pockets were standard, but it would confirm the chalk is in his right hand. So that's 2 photos Vs a bunch of hearsay (unless he was ambidextrous :P).

This is stunning! Implausibly-accurate predictions, indeed setting the scene almost seven years in the future.

But this contains a massive contradiction, and a significant one at that. I understood that Armstrong was an ex-Navy flier?? Yet he's described here openly as being a 'civilian...direct from Purdue'. But he was flying experimental military aircraft at over 3000 miles an hour? And how could he have been a civilian? He'd have been age-profile for the draft, to have served in (potentially) both Korea and Vietnam, less than two decades after WW2. If he was fit enough to fly anything even close to what's claimed, he'd have been at least a member of an Air National Guard unit (as was the case even for GWB...nearly), or even the USAF.

Is there an 'official' biography somewhere on-line??

But this astounding timescale raises a much, much bigger problem for us. If he was being groomed for this for so many years, and pre-selected as being the rightest of the Right Stuff, why on earth (pun certainly intended) was he so spectacularly unconvincing and uncharismatic?? In the parallel thread running here on SC (the mainline Moonhoax topic), Simon tracked down the full uncut post-mission press conference, and Armstrong's so bad under the spotlights I feel ill watching him.

Why did they pick someone with such a gap at the front? Is it possible that his personality changed, as a consequence of him becoming aware of the need to falsify the mission? The absolute clincher on this would be if we can locate footage of him say mid-1960s (prior even to the Apollo 1 fire deaths in 67), and then closer to the event itself.

Was he maybe a barbiturates / pentathol or MKUltra victim?

Ah, thanks Smoking!
Plus his evidently left-side jacket lapel is button-holed, indicating an unmirrored image for a male left-over-right closure garment. So another vote for him not being a non-southpaw. Maat, what's your interim interp of his NLP head-bends, then?[/edit]

A strange reaction from a person taught to believe in forgiveness. Did this affect you? Your family? Think about those he did affect during his time.

Perhaps this will appease your feelings.

Once you realize he was a man.. a simple actor accepting a paid role it may make more sense.

I don't believe it is my right and duty to "forgive" or show compassion for my enemies. Some things just cannot be forgotten, as I see it in my life experience, its why you can be punished ever so severely for committing certain crimes. Like the law, I'll leave the "forgiving" part to the God almighty, as his thought are not our thoughts, his ways are not our ways.
